Caroline, Thanks for the list of names of those who signed the Petition to
form county dated 4-28-1803.

I found my ggggg grandfather John Jones on the list of names. I know that
he moved to what is now Dickson Co. in the early 1800's or late 1700's from
No. Carolina. This proves to me that he was there in 1803 before Dickson
Co. was established. He had land on Turnbull Creek. Any ideas on how to
find out when he purchased land or if he had a land grant?
