Last year went down to Choate Cem., and took pictures of Elder John
Turner's tombstone, and I was wondering about the Choates and McElyea's
buried there.
Thomas Benton McElyea, Pvt., Co. A, 24th Ba., Tn. Sharpshooters,
Confederate Army, the stone beside him just had Nettie on it.
Paita/Patia A. Choate, wife of W.I. Choate......
son, William, no dates....... daughter, no name, 7--1902, d. 2--1904,
there were 5 or 6 rocks that could have been grave markers. Do you know
if William Isaac Choate is buried there with no marker???
