Betty,

I answered to you and Charlotte Petty
simultaneously. Hope you got the info,
scant as it may be.

All I have is the same marriage date
that you have. I show George died in
Indian Territory in 1870. May be hard
to locate his cemetery, but someone
out there knows!! Janice Gail Kitchens-
Hagan of Macon, GA., submitted this
to me in 1980. I have her hand-written
account of the 12 kids of George Grancer
Luther and Mary Polly Bowden-Luther.

Can you decipher "Indian Territory"
for me...for us?? I realize this is
sketchy. I am on webtv, so I got
your post, both of them, instantly.

Do you want to trade notes on the
12 children?? I need to type them
up anyway.........

Your thoughts?????

Regards and Best Wishes,

Mike in CA

I am trying again with this message that I originally sent late last week.
If you are receiving it for the second time, I apologize. I haven't yet
gotten it myself so have assumed that no one else has received it either.

Does anyone on the list know where George (M. or W.) Luther went after his
marriage in August 1867 to Anna Spears? George was a son of Travis Luther
and his wife Lucy Myatt. George was born about 1841 in Dickson Co., but I
have not been able to locate him in any census after the 1860 census for
Dickson Co.

I found an Ann Spears, aged 13, in the household of a W.J. Spears in the 1860
census of Dickson Co. I think that this might be the Anna who married George
Luther. W.J. Spears does not appear to be listed in the 1870 census of
Dickson Co. Perhaps George and Anna Luther moved away with her Spears
family? I can't find either family after 1860.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Betty Ravenholt
