Faye;

Sorry to have been so slow answering this...family emergency.

I still don't know for sure this is the correct connection, but it sure
seems a strong possibility.

Was your Wilson family ever in Hickman or Perry co? Several times, someone
has told me that this Joel Wilson family was there also. I can't imagine
why so many moves, unless he just had wanderlust.

I have not found him on the 1830 census as of now. Also, I am dying to know
what happened to the older children. It would seem to me there should have
been earlier children by his 2nd marriage to Christina Binkley also. The
oldest one listed on census in 1850 which would have been b. 1820, some 9
years after their marriage.

I have seen some Cullim/Wilson messages in the past. I'll try to scare them
up.
The other thing I noticed is how many Holland neighbors Joel and Christina
had, and then there is Holland Wilson on the 1850 census, who appears to be
their youngest child. I wonder if there was a Holland/Wilson connection,
also?

Marilyn

PS: If we can make the connection, I have loads of info way back to the
1600s on this family and I'd be happy to share.

Marilyn,
James P. (possibly Peter) Wilson, that married Elizabeth Ann Adams,
11-18-1861, Dickson Co., was born 5-13-1825, making him 36 yrs old when
he got married. The 1860 Humphreys Co. census for James P. Wilson, age
30, could possibly be him, age depending on who gave the census. The
naming pattern follow my James P. He and Elizabeth Ann had children by
the names of Emily, John, Joel and Peter. The land deeds I have for
James P., are all located on the Dickson Co. and Humphreys Co. line, on
Yellow Creek. If you happen to come up with a name to go with C.M.
Wilson, possibly Cullum Marshall Wilson, lived close to James P.
in the 1880 census, hollow real loud... Thanks for what info you have
sent me and will keep my eyes open for Joel.
Faye
