Sandy

Would love to hear your stories where'er they be. Dad has told me of a light
that he saw one night behind grandma's house. They lived on Denmark Rd, just
outside Erin. Anyway, this light was moving very smoothly over the
countryside. Dad asked Granny if she knew anything about it and she said yes,
that she saw it all the time. So, he decided to follow it. It had a strange
color. While following it at a rapid pace he could not close on it. It did
not jumped around as one might expect if it were a hunter or some such
running from him. Nothing really scary here, just different, odd, strange.

Mom had told a story of a house we lived at when I was just a baby. Well they
had lost a key to their back door. Apparently it could only be opened with a
key from either side. They had looked for months for the key with no success.
One night mom had a dream that she went into the kitchen and there was a man
that she did not know standing there and the back door was open. Next day the
key was found. What can you say to that? Very strange.

Dad was a boy who had never seen his daddy. Often people would come by to get
him to cure their baby of the "thrash". He said he would be very embarrassed
when they would come by but would blow in the babies mouth and they would get
better either that same day or by the next. There was a neighbor of his while
he lived in IL, whose grandbaby had the "thrash". He asked them for the baby.
He took that baby to the back room and blew into their mouth. The baby got
better the next day. He was asked what he did but would not tell it. He
figured they wouldn't believe it. :)

BTW, he told me these stories after I got grown, so he was not just telling
"ghost stories." :)
