Hello to both..... i am Lenora grandaughter of the Mitchells
lines....working with Sandy and others . wWe are trying to put all this
together in a competent. proven form... We sere surprised to find all these
new family connections all at once...We have so many"clues" we are
having a time verifying and putting together fast enough.......My Mitchells
were from Humphreys co , on 1838 taax lists..then to Dicckson where they
remained.....William W. Mitchell married Arabella (?) Mitchell aand then
they had five children......next comes William Robert Mitchell their son,, my
grandfather and their lines
William R. M itchell and Aramenta H. Hays were married and lived
inDickson Tn until for some reeeason they went to Trigg for about a year...a
short time in Lyon KY before moving to Texas where they died late 1180a
and 1900's. They being a close family I have tried to locate
information as to why they suddenly went to Trigg and then to Lyon... without
apparent families connected to those areas.... William and for generations
of the males were always carpenters...apparently very good...so I think it
might have been because of work offered...but then why stay there such a
short time??? So I look for any clues of that nature too..........Feel
there is a missing connection for those years that might be of importance to
all of us working on these lines......
Keep in touch...We are having a great time sharing and meeting each other
even if only through the mail!.
