I am looking for a William H. Shelton, b. abt. 1780 in VA, m. Eleanor
(Nellie) Greer in Franklin County VA, 9-Jan-1797. William enlisted in War of
1812. From family records it indicates that the family settled south of the
Big Harpeth River where they lived and are buried in this area. William &
Eleanor had one son, William H. Shelton, Jr. and three daughters: Mary
Pollard Shelton, m. Harris, Lucy Shelton, m. Kellum/Kellam & Nancy Shelton
possibly married a Shelton. Nancy's daughter was Mary F. Shelton, m. David
C. Beck 24-Dec-1856, Dickson, Co., TN.
Any help on this Shelton would be greatly appreciated.
