I am seeking information on Grandison D. Nevill, son of Solomon
and Susannah (Walton) Nevill of Montgomery Co., TN.

In 1840 Grandison Nevill is living in Dickson Co. TN with a wife
and three sons under the age of 5. This was his second wife,
Martha E. _______. Does any one know if she is connected to
a Dickson Co., TN family? She was Grandison's second wife. His
first wife was Minerva Peterson of Montgomery Co., TN who
apparently divorced him and married Meredith Howard.

Martha E. _______ divorced Grandison in 1845 after 10 years of
marriage. He then married Annette Travis of Montgomery Co., TN
and seems to have remained in Dickson Co. until at least 1849.
He and Annette had only two sons. Their marriage ended sometime
after 1849, and she married Phillip Crotzer of Montgomery Co.,
TN.

Martha E. Nevill/Nevels might be the Martha E. Nevels who is
in Tishmingo Co., MS in 1850 with three children: Anderson D.
Nevel (Granderson Jr.?), Susan P., and William. All of these
children were born after 1840.

I need to know Martha's maiden name and what happened to the
three elder sons who were on the 1840 census. I don't know
what happened Martha or if she remarried. I have also been
unable to locate Grandison D. Nevill and his two sons by
Annette Travis on the 1850 census. Annette seems to have gone
back to her mother in Montgomery Co., TN, but the Nevills infants
are not with her.

Any help on this would be appreciated.
