Hi all, I need help with my McAdoos. One of my 3rd GGrandfathers, David M.
Burkett, son of Thomas & Sarah (McAdoo) Burkett), born ca. 1815 in TN, died
ca. 1856 in Benton Co., TN, married ca. 1835 a woman by the name of Mary
Ann McAdoo who was born ca. 1819 in TN, and died after Jan 1856 when she
was given her widow's portion of David's estate. I need help identifying
her parents. I know that brothers Samuel (the famous minister) and William
were in the area, William eventually settled in Henry Co. and Samuel moved
to KY. Other than this I have no clue. I have not been able to find a
marriage record for David and Mary or any other info on Mary. All the info
I have as to Mary being David's wife came from the Carroll Co. family
history of their daughter, Levy Ann (McAdoo) Grissom. Can anybody help with
this? Thanks in advance. Steve
