TURNBLAZER, WILLIAM JENKINS - 84, of Middlesboro,
TURNBLAZER, WILLIAM JENKINS - 84, of Middlesboro, passed away October 6,2005
at St. Mary's Hospital In Knoxville, TN. He was born November 22, 1920 in
Jellico, Tennessee to the late William Thomas and Sally Jenkins Turnblazer. He was
a member of St. Julian's Catholic Church in Middlesboro, KY. A World War II,
U.S. Army Veteran. He served in the Pacific Theater of Operation. He was a
Cumberland College graduate and attended the University of Tennessee Law School
where he graduated in 1947. He was the UMWA District 19 President and their
attorney for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by
his wife Cecilia Zecchini Turnblazer, son William Thomas Turnblazer and brother
John Lewis Turnblazer. Survivors include his sons; Peter Jenkins Turnblazer,
Middlesboro, KY and James Raymond Turnblazer, Sharps Chapel, TN;
grandchildren: William Jason Turnblazer and Rachel Turnblazer Waddell, Knoxville, TN;
daughter-in-law Janie Conley, Sharps Chapel, TN. Funeral services will be held 10
am Monday October 10, 2005 at St. Julian's Catholic Church and Interment will
follow at St. Boniface Cemetery, Jellico, TN. Pallbearers are Joe Lovine,
Herbert Tamer, David Wright, Donny Broyles, Perry Brolyes and Mike Paynter. Rosary
is 6:30 pm Sunday October 9, 2005 at Shumate Funeral Home followed by
visitation from 7 to 9 pm. Shumate Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Guest
