Lucille Prater


Lucille Prater, age 56 years died March 11, 2005. Funeral services were held
Monday, March 14, 2005 at McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dixon
officiating. Burial was in New Liberty Cemetery.


She was born at LaFollette, Tennessee on March 16, 1948 the daughter of
Violet Dale Vanover Melton and the late Jack Chester Melton. She was a machine
operator in a factory.


Her father, Jack Chester Melton precedes her in death.


Survivors include her mother, Violet Dale Vanover Melton, Helenwood,
Tennessee and her children, Jack Prater, Covington, Kentucky; Neil Prater and Keela
Marcum and her husband, David all of Whitley City, Kentucky. The surviving
brother and sisters are: Jerry Lee Melton, Sr., Pine Knot, Kentucky; Diane
Hamilton, Parkers Lake, Kentucky; Norma Delisle, Carlton, Michigan; Carol LaVigne and
Peggy King, Helenwood, Tennessee. Seven grandchildren survive.


McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
