KETNER, DORIS ANN GOINS - 64 of Clinton,
NORSTEDT, JENNIFER WHEAT - 43, of Oak Ridge,
KETNER, DORIS ANN GOINS - 64 of Clinton, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at
St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. She was born October 25, 2005 and
raised in Clinton. Mrs. Ketner graduated from Berea College, Berea, Kentucky
in 1962, with a B.A. in Mathematics, and later received a Masters Degree from
Tennessee Technological University, Cookeville, Tennessee. She taught in the
Anderson County School System from 1962 to 1998. She ended her teaching career
at Clinton High School, teaching geometry and computer languages. Doris
belonged to many professional organizations, taught as an adjunct facility member at
East Tennessee State University and Pellissippi State Technical Community
College, wrote an instruction manual for Oak Ridge Associated Universities, and
did numerous workshops for teachers. She was preceded in death by: her parents,
Lowell V. and Zora Shepard Goins. She is survived by: her husband of 36
years, Clarence "Bud" R. Ketner, Jr; son, Wesley B. Ketner of Oak Ridge; sister,
Demaris Holt and her husband Sonny of Macon, GA; and brother, Lowell V. Goins of
Mountain Home, ID; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will
be held on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 10:00am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00- 8:00pm at Weatherford

NORSTEDT, JENNIFER WHEAT - 43, of Oak Ridge, went home to be with her Savior,
Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at her home. She was born August 21, 1962 in
Reform, Alabama, the daughter of Bascom and Bessie Wheat, who are both deceased.
Jennifer and her husband Mark, moved to Oak Ridge eight years ago when Mark
took a job as the administrator for Parkway Cardiology Associates. Jennifer was
a homemaker and enjoyed meeting people and making friends, decorating,
helping with charities and spending time with her family. She was instrumental in
the Kosovo refugee placement program and very active in the fundraisers for the
tsunami relief efforts. She also served as a volunteer with ADFAC. In addition
to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Billie Frances
Gilliland. She is survived by her husband, Mark Alan Norstedt, with whom she would have
celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in October. She was the loving
mother of 5-year old Ashley Anna and 2-year old Emily Caughran. Jennifer is also
survived by brothers, Jamie Ash and wife Darlene of Bellamy, AL and David and
Patsy Ash of Opp, AL; Mother and father-in-law, Dr. Axel and Ruby Norstedt of
Mobile, AL; Brothers-in-law, Chuck Gilliland of Butler, AL and Dr. David
Norstedt and wife Donna of Mobile, AL and sister-in-law, Beth Miller and husband
Charles of Chattanooga. The funeral service is Saturday, September 24, 2005 at
11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Cantrell
officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family requests that
memorials be in the form of contributions to the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina
Relief Fund or the American Cancer Society, c/o Jerri Melhorn-Amonett, 104
Antioch Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The family will receive friends on Friday from
6:00 - 8:00 pm at Weatherford Mortuary. An on-line guest book can be signed at
