Satterfield's Brother Dies in Dallas Tuesday

T.E. Satterfield of the LaFollette Hardware Company received a message
Wednesday morning that his brother of Dallas, Texas, who has been seriously
ill for some time had died Tuesday night.

We wish to extend our thanks to the many friends for their sympathy and
assistance during the illness and death of our husband and father. Also for
the floral offerings.

James Louis Claiborne

James Louis Claiborne was born May 22, 1926, died March 1, 1933.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Claiborne.
While returning home from Mr. Childress', where he had been sent by his
parents, his life was quickly snuffed out by a passing motorist.
His last words to his little sister were to said to be "Tootsie, I'm dying.
Tell mama goodbye." He is mourned by his parents, two sisters and two
brothers, and a host of schoolmates and friends.



Mrs. Alex Thompson

Mrs. Alex Thompson, age 40, wife of Alex Thompson, died at a Knoxville
hospital Wednesday March 8th.
Surviving are her husband and eight children, Clarence, Edgar, Herman,
Ecnice, Walter, Edna, Carl, Cecil and on granddaughter, all of Agee.
Funeral Services were conducted at the home Friday. Rev. John Lynch
officiating. Burial followed in the Bolinger cemetery near Walnut Grove.



Jacksboro man Passes Sunday
Father of Six Well Known Sons Is Buried At Flat Hollow Cemetery Tuesday

B.C. Moore, 73, lovingly known as "Uncle Bige", of Jacksboro died at his
home Sunday evening. He has been a member of the M.E. Church for 52 years.
Mr. Moore married Mary Susan Turner in 1879 and to this union were born six
sons, J.Y. of LaFollette, W.H. of Wichita, Kansas, J.A. of Jacksboro, J.L.
of Wichita, E.L. of Middlesboro and Thurman of Tuccumcari, N.M.
This family union was broken by the death of the devoted wife and mother in
May 1911. Mr. Moore later married Mrs. James Smith of Jacksboro. By a former
marriage Mrs. Moore had four children, Charlie and Joe Smith of Jacksboro,
Mrs. James Miller of LaFollette and Mrs. C.E. Gore of Knoxville. Funeral
services were conducted at Flat Hollow Church Tuesday morning at 10:30 by
Rev. D.A. Spessard. Pallbearers were B.E. Dossett, W.H. Parrott, Wheeler
Hollingsworth, Henry Wheeler, Verlin Ferris and Frank Thomas.
