Mrs. D.B. Ford
Mrs. D.B Ford, age 71, died Sunday January 22.
She is survived by five sons and one daughter, they are; Morion of W. Va.,
Ike of Columbus, Ohio, Bird, Sam and Luther Ford of LaFollette and Mrs. Gain
Irwin also of LaFollette.
The service was held Tuesday at 2 o'clock, at the M.E. Church by Rev. D.A.
Spessard of Jacksboro and Rev. W.A. Sharp. Burial took place in the Sharp
Cemetery.
Martha Jane Riggs
Martha Jane Riggs, 24 died at her home on West Prospect Street, Saturday
evening. January the 21st.
She is survived by her father and mother, one sister, two brothers and a
large number of friends. Funeral was at the Jacksboro Baptist Church Monday
at eleven o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. Thomas. Burial was in
the Jacksboro Cemetery.

Kill Deputy - Two Years
Williamsburg, Ky., Jan. 25-
Howard Goins was given two years fro killing Deputy Sheriff James Bowlin in
Jellico Dec.4. The deputy had gone to arrest Goins on a warrant from a
squire's court.
