Mrs. Visie Arvenia "Mamaw" Shepherd, 63, of Wartburg,
James "Eddie" Edward Taylor, 86, of Bossier City, La.

Mrs. Visie Arvenia "Mamaw" Shepherd, 63, of Wartburg, woke up with Jesus
Monday, Sept. 5, 2005.
She was a loving mother and mamaw and enjoyed spending time with her children
and grandchildren.
All who knew Mom (or Mamaw) were truly blessed, said her family. She
encouraged everyone with her strength, gentleness, kindness, generosity, and love. She
was not only a great mom, sister, and friend, but a good example of how one
should live their life. She always kept her eight children, 15 grandchildren,
and six great-grandchildren in her heart and prayers. Her family said her
laughter and smiles would live in their hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by two children, Randy and Angela Shepherd; her
parents, Jesse and Vesta Burgess; and a sister, Ethel Blalock.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (and Clayton) Francis of Wartburg,
Lisa (and Bobby) Qualls of Clinton, Cindy Blank (and Steve) Reneau of Oak
Ridge, Shelia Shepherd of Alcoa, Shenia (and Randy) Pressley of Kingston, and Lena
Shepherd of Wartburg; her brother, Cordell Burgess of Wartburg; her sisters,
Violet Perkey and husband, Charles, of Wartburg, and Glenda Daugherty and
husband, Herbert, of Waukeshaw, Wis.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at the Nazarene
Church with the Rev. James Griffith officiating.
The burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at
Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg.
Schubert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
James "Eddie" Edward Taylor, 86, of Bossier City, La., died Tuesday, Sept. 5,
2005, at his residence.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of the arrangements, which
were incomplete at press time.
David Weldon, of Clinton, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at the University of
Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville.

Lydia Binkley, of Powell, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at her daughter's
residence.

John Bollinger, 14, of Lake City, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at the
University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville.
