Jesse Wilson b. Nov. 1826 (son of William b. 1792 NC), married Margaret
"Peggy" McKamey b. abt. 1827 in Campbell Co. Nov. 18, 1847. I believe this was the
only marriage for both of them. They were in the Anderson C. 1850 census.
Jesse 24 yrs of age born in Tn. Margaret age 20 born in Tn. Ewell b. 4-6-1949 age
1 born in Tennessee. They were in the Campbell Co census of 1860 with all born
in Tn. Ewell age 11, Gabriel Keith b. Mar. 6, 1861 age 9, Minerva b. 1862 age
7, Nicholas b. 1855 age 5, Evaline b. 1859 age 2, and James b. 1859 age 4.

Sometime between 1861 after the birth of Elizabeth (in Tn) the family went to
North Carolina. William was born there in 1867 and Isabella was born in NC in
1868-69. The family removed to the far western part of Tennessee after the
birth of Isabella. The family is found in the Covington,Tipton Co. Tn census of
1870. Jesse 43, Margaret 41, Ewell 21, Gabriel 19, Nicholas 15, James 13,
Evaline 11, Elizabeth 8, William 3, Isabella 1. Minerva must have died between the
1860-1870 census.

June 25, 1880 census in Cadron, Faulkner County Ark, Jesse is widowed by this
time. It appears that Margaret died between 1870-1880. In this census: Jesse
56, Bettie 16, William 13, Isabella 11, Evaline 20, Nicholas 25, and James age
23. Ewell is also in the same census in Arkansas. The 1880 census lists the
entire family as being born in North Carolina. We know this is not true. The
spelling of Wilson is found as Wilsen in this census.

By 1900 census Jesse age 76 is back in Tipton Co. Tn. He living with Gabriel
and his family. I have found several listings that say that Jesse died in
Covington, Tipton Co. Tn in 1907 and that Margaret died in the same county but no
death date for her.

I have more on the families of Gabriel Keith Wilson and Ewell Wilson. It
appears that Gabriel's several members of Gabriel's family ventured out to Oregon
and California. Several of them joined their uncle Ewell's family in Arkansas.
Ewell's family primarily stayed in Woodruff Co. Ark with at least one going
to Tx.
