BACK, FREDERICK LANDIS - age 78 of Powell,
GRAY, JOSEPH (JOEY) ROBERT - age 28 of Knoxville
HARGROVE, ISAAC (IKEY) - age 93 of Harriman,
PITSENBARGER, NORMA JEAN - age 72 of Lake City, TN,
BACK, FREDERICK LANDIS - age 78 of Powell, went home to be with the Lord
Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Baptist Hospital West. He was a member of Norwood
Church of Christ and also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is
preceded in death by: father, Samuel Otis Back; sister, Nathalia Baugh; brothers,
Jack, Bill, and Dale Back. Survivors: wife of 58 years, Volena Back of Powell;
daughters, Rita Summers & husband LeeRoy of Clinton, Peggy Garland & husband
John of Powder Springs, GA, Joanna Lynn of Tunnel Hill, GA; son, Steve Back &
wife Kim Wolfenbarger of Chickasha, OK; mother, Mattie Griffin Flynn of
Clinton; grandchildren, Angela Page & husband Randall of Clinton, Amie Davis &
husband Jason of Clinton, Joshua Fowler & wife Amanda of Ashland City, Natosha Back
of Athens, GA, Justin Fowler of Powder Springs, GA; great grandchildren,
Buddy and Jordan Page, Jackson Davis and Dorothy Grace Fowler; several nieces and
nephews. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at 2 West at Baptist
Hospital West. The family will receive friends Monday, August 22, 2005 at
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. He will have a private graveside service Tuesday at
Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of
all arrangements.
GRAY, JOSEPH (JOEY) ROBERT - age 28 of Knoxville passed away Saturday August
20, 2005 in Knoxville. Mr. Gray was born May 23, 1977 in Oak Ridge. He was a
graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He played baseball in high school and
enjoyed football and other sports. He also was a musician and recorded his own Rap
music. He worked for Nama Sushi Bar as a chef. He was preceded in death by: his
grandmothers, Janette Gray and Dorothy Landthair. He is survived by: his
mother, Sandra Gray; a sister, Miranda Miller and her husband Eric; a cousin,
Christoper Horton; aunt and uncle, Susan and J.M. Varele; cousins, Nicholas and
Katie Varele; grandfather, Joseph Gray; and step-grandmother, Sallie Gray.
Funeral services will be Tuesday August 23, 2005 at 7:00 pm at St. Stephen's
Episcopal Church in Oak Ridge with Rev. Gayle Brown officiating. The family will
receive friends following the service at the church. Interment will be private.

HARGROVE, ISAAC (IKEY) - age 93 of Harriman, passed away Saturday August 20,
2005 at Harriman Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was retired from the Mead
Corp. Harriman Papermill. A lifelong member of South Harriman Baptist Church & a
50 plus year member of South Gate Lodge No 569 F & AM. He was an avid
baseball player, golfer & bowler. Ikey had an unusual sense of humor & liked to laugh
& have fun. Preceded in death by: his wife, Annice (White) Hargrove; father,
William Frank Hargrove; mother, Mary Jane (Davis) Hargrove; brother, William
Cortez Hargrove; sister, Corona Gough; grandchild, Stefanie Fletcher & great
grandchild, John Mark Davis. Survivors: daughters, Frances Young of
Jacksonville, FL, Faye Downing & husband Darryl of Phoenixville, PA; son, James Hargrove
of Harriman; sister, Geraldine Scott of LaVergne, TN; special friend, James
(Sonny) Reeves of Harriman; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Funeral 8 pm
Monday, August 22, at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel in Harriman with Rev Randy
Maxwell and Kenny Isham officiating. Graveside service 1 pm CST, August 23,
Tuesday at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL. The family will receive friends from 6
to 8 pm Monday at Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman. In lieu of flowers
contributions may be made to the South Harriman Baptist Church Building Fund, 626

PITSENBARGER, NORMA JEAN - age 72 of Lake City, TN, passed away August 20,
2005, at her residence. She was born April 2, 1933 to the late Clarence and Ruth
Robbins Norman. She was of the Baptist faith and a member at First Baptist
Church Lake City. Norma Jean enjoyed working with kids, playing cards, reading,
and politics. She was retired from Lake City Water Department and was City
Recreation Director for several years. She is preceded in death by: parents;
brothers, Wallace and Morris Norman; and life long and best friend, Trula
Patterson. Survivors: son, Dennis Pitsenbarger & wife Sandi, Lake City, TN; daughter,
Paula Bowers & companion Phil Giron, Lake City, TN; special grandson, Aaron
Pitsenbarger, Lake City, TN; adopted daughter, Donna Hawkins; grandchildren, &
family, Lake City, TN; sisters, Mary Ann Norman, Elizabethtown, KY;
sister-in-law, Wilma Norman Norcross, GA; niece, Leann Harvey & husband Tom, Norcross,
GA; several nieces and nephews; life long and best friend Sara Lou Oldham. Also,
her beloved pets, Marino & Katie. Special thanks to JC & Dessie Gibson for
their love and support. Visitation 7-8pm, Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the
Hatmaker Funeral Home. Memorial service 8pm, Tuesday, August 23, 2005, in the
Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Courtney officiating. Hatmaker Funeral
Home of Lake City in charge of arrangements.
