CARTER, CHARLES "NICK" - age 56 of Claxton, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2005
at his home. He was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church and is a Veteran of
the U. S. Navy. He is preceded in death by: his mother, Hazel Carter. He is
survived by: his father, Cecil Carter; wife, Norma Sanders Carter; daughters and
sons-in-law, Jennifer Lindsey and David, Aimee Sharpe and Chuck, Nikki Wesley
and Chris; grandchildren, Jacob, DeNalyn, Melena, Stephen, Elora, Audrey, and
Riley; sister, Patricia Ussery. Memorial donations can be made to Covenant
Home Care, Suite 101 3001 Lakebrook Blvd., Knoxville TN 37909. Family will be
receiving friends at Edgemoor Baptist Church Tuesday August 2, 2005 from 6 to 8
pm with services to follow at 8pm. Interment will be at Carlton Cemetery at 2
pm Central Standard Time Wednesday August 3, 2005. Arrangements by Woodhaven

COLLIER, EARL E. "BOB/SKIP" - passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005 from a
lengthy illness. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army and a publicist. Bob
was very special to many people and will be missed always. He was preceded in
death by: his mother, Evelyn Carroll; and father, Thomas Collier. He leaves to
cherish his memory: his very beloved special wife, Marla Collier; special
friend, Kimberly Hutsell; daughter, Melissa Olivia; Godchild, Beth McKinney;
grandchildren, Austin Jade and Isabella Daulton; brothers, Ray, Marty, and Walter
Collier; special cousin, Sandy; many other relatives and special friends. His
memorial services will be held in California. Holley- Gamble Funeral Home in
Clinton in charge of all arrangements.

GOODRICH, FRED "BUS" - age 95 of Harriman, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2005
at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was retired from Mead
Corporation, a Veteran of WWII, an avid gardener, fisherman and sports fan. He
attended Riverside Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Wanda Goodrich of
Harriman; daughter, Jana Shubert of Harriman; son, Zane Goodrich & wife, JoAnn of
Knoxville; sister, Lottie Belle Ballew of Crossville; grandchildren, Amanda &
Kyle Russell of Maryville, Amy Goodrich of Knoxville, Ryne Goodrich of Knoxville;
several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday,
August 2, at Roane Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mason Goodman officiating and with
full military honors by Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. In lieu of
flowers memorial gifts may be made to Riverside Baptist Church Building Fund
P.O. Box 811 Harriman, TN 37748 or American Heart Association.

RICCI, ENZO - 79, passed away on August 1, 2005 at his home in Oak Ridge. He
was born November 8, 1925 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Juan and Rosa Bagnasco
Ricci. He came to America from his native Argentina with his family in 1962
to work at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the Analytical Chemistry
Division as a Research Scientist. During his tenure at ORNL, he continued his
research on neutron activation analysis and became a member of the board of
directors of the American Nuclear Society. He had retired from ORNL after 27 years of
service and held a PHD in Chemistry and a Masters in Physics. Enzo was dearly
loved by his family and friends. He is survived by: his beloved wife of 48
years, Blanca Ricci; and his sons, Steve, Carlos and John; his daughters-in-law,
Shelli and Judy; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His sister,
Nilda Martha, 77, is married and currently resides in Argentina. His family
will receive friends on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 from 7:00-9:00pm at
Weatherford Mortuary, 158 S. Jefferson Circle, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The Ricci family
would like to thank Dr. David Seay, as well as the staff at Covenant Hospice for
their wonderful help. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of
contributions to Fort Sanders Foundation, 1901 W. Clinch Ave., Knoxville, TN

SPEARS, EVA ELLEN - age 90 of Harriman, died Sunday July 31, 2005 at Harriman
Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of South Harriman Baptist
Church, and the Cheerful Helpers Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death
by: her husband, William E. Spears; parents, Pearson and Nannie Pyle; sister,
Avo Pyle; and brothers, Carlos Pyle, Carson Pyle, and Rufus Pyle. Survivors:
brother, Lucion Pyle and wife Margaret of Nashville; nieces, Eloise Walls of
Harriman, Betty Poulin of Mesa, AZ, Carolyn Meeks of Lynchburg, VA, Jessica
Harrell of Mobile, AL; nephews, Eddie Pyle of Harriman, Ralph Pyle of Birmingham,
AL, David Pyle of Dickson, TN, Sammy Pyle of Louisiana. Funeral 7:30 pm
Tuesday at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel in Harriman with Rev Edsel West and Rev Randy
Maxwell officiating. Interment 10 am Wednesday at Roane Memorial Gardens. The
family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 pm Tuesday at Kyker Funeral Home in
