COX, FRANK FLOYD - age 88 of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Lake City, Tenn.,
passé way Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. He
was born July 25, 1916 in Anderson County, Tenn. to the late Edward and Maude
(Sharp) Cox. Frank's first wife, Nora Bell Richards Cox preceded him in death
July, 1981. He married his second wife, Thelma Orr, and she preceded him in
death August 25, 2001. He loved his children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren. He loved raising animals. Frank worked for the Metropolitan Beer
Distributors for over 17 years, and retired in 1977. Prior to that, he was a coal miner.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to this
wives and his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Earthel, Esco,
Roy & Leonard Cox; sisters, Lillian Harness, Anna Mae Howard, Beatrice White &
Linda Huckaby; great granddaughter, Hope Amanda Foust; and sons in law,
Vestal (Togie) Sharp, Floyd Byrd & Richard McFadden. Survivors: sons, Jeffrey
(Casandra) Cox, Toledo, Ohio, Robert (Jean) Cox, Perrysburg, Ohio; daughters, Fay
Sharp, Lake City, Betty Byrd, Ethridge, Tenn., Judy McFadden, Ind.; step
daughter, Judy Orr (Jerry) Cox, Lake Wylie, SC; sisters, Maxine Helton, Ky., Mary
Carden, Lake City; sister in law, Betty Cox, Lake City; 14 grandchildren; 26
great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren. Frank is also survived by
many other friends and relatives. Visitation, 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005 at
the Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral service 8 p.m. Friday July 1, 2005 in the
Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Seiber & Rev. R.C. Seiber
officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Saturday July 2, 2005 at the Leach Cemetery in Lake
City. Hatmaker Funeral Home of Lake City in charge of arrangements.
DUNN, JOSEPHINE C. - age 78 of Harriman passed away Wednesday June 29, 2005
at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Preceded in death by her husband
O.L. "Sonny" Dunn, her parents, 5 brothers & 3 sisters. Jo was a member of
Riverside Baptist Church, A "Pink Lady" at Harriman Hospital & retired from Kayser
Roth Hosiery Mill. Survivors: sons & daughters in law, Chip & Lou Dunn of
Harriman, David & Julia Dunn of Nashville; grandchildren, Alex Rymer of Kingston,
Rebekah Dunn of Nashville, David Dunn Jr of Nashville; sister & brother in law,
Margaret & Jim Collins of Knoxville; brother & sister in law, Fred & Peggy
Crowder of Kingston; brothers and sisters in law, Elizabeth & Arnold Hansen,
Eloise & James Eaton, Almetia Cunningham, Sue Carter, Betty Carman, Goody &Bobby
Webb, Frankie & Carl Walker, Clara Crowder, Harry & Betty Dunn; many nieces &
nephews. Funeral 8 PM Friday at Kyker Funeral Home Chapel in Harriman with Rev
Mason Goodman and Rev Hascue Carter officiating. Interment 11 AM Saturday at

HOWELL, DANE CLARK - age 57 of Rockwood, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2005
at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith. An electrician by trade. Preceded in
death by parents, William Eugene Howell and Mary Sue Beach Howell; sisters,
Cheryl Howell and Tommie Howell. Survived by daughter, Lecinda Howell;
grandson, James Slagle; brothers, Dwayne Howell and Gene Howell; sister, Sammie Sue
Howell; special niece, Jana Barron; special nephew, Michael Dane Howell; several
other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday at Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City. Funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Saturday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Seay
officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Monday in Loudon Co. Memorial

TURNER, EDWARD E. - 83, of Tyson Road, Oak Ridge, TN, passed away on June 30,
2005, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. He was born September
6, 1921, in Bell County, KY. He was the son of William Clarence and Laura
Clouse Turner of Bell County, KY, who preceded him in death. Mr. Turner served in
the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve for a total of twenty years, beginning
with the start of World War II. He proudly served his country in the North
African and European Theaters for 48 continuous months during the Second World War.
He was in the 83rd Military Police Battalion. When he returned from service
in 1945, he married his childhood sweetheart, Cordie Olivia Brooks, also from
Bell County, KY. They celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary this past March
23, 2005. He also joined the security department at Y-12 in September, 1945
and retired in 1987 with 42 years company service. He faithfully attended
Central Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, was an active member of the Bethel Senior Men's
Sunday School Class, and was a founding member and faithful participant of the
Central Baptist Caring Center. He was an avid flower and vegetable gardener,
and his beautiful roses, clematis, and mums were eagerly awaited and enjoyed
by his neighborhood. In addition to his wife, Cordie, he leaves three brothers
and three sisters: William Clarence Turner, Jr., Hamilton, OH, Lowell Turner,
Pineville, KY, Carl Turner, East Jellico, KY, Mrs. Hazel Watkins, Himyear, KY,
and Mrs. Mildred Massingill and Mrs. Marlene Vogel, both of Cincinnati, OH.
He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and life-long friends. In addition to
his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma, and a brother, Estill
Turner. Funeral services are Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Noon at Weatherford
Mortuary with Rev. Bob Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge
Memorial Park. Pallbearers are: Scott Turner, Ricky Brooks, JoLynn Watkins, Neil
Watkins, Gary Johns, and Charlie Dunn. Honorary Pallbearers are: Virgil Silver,
David Jones, Scott Underwood, Paul Miller Tom King, Charlie Jackson, Hoover
Green, and Jim Young. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00
pm and again on Saturday from 11:00 am until noon at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak
