ANDERSON, WOODROW SR. - of Oak Ridge, TN
KENNEDY, SERGEANT FIRST CLASS STEPHEN CURTIS - of Oak Ridge.
TIDWELL, VIVIAN - age 91 of LaFollette

ANDERSON, WOODROW SR. - of Oak Ridge, TN departed this life at his residence
on April 8, 2005. The oldest son born to the late Dewey and Phyllis Anderson
on May 1, 1919 in Yazoo City, MS. His family later relocated to Lexington, MS.
He moved to Oak Ridge in 1943 and assisted with the building process of the
Manhattan Project. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a previous
owner and operator of the Paradise Club that was once located in the Scarboro
Community. He worked as a custodian prior to becoming disabled. He was a member
of the Oak Valley Baptist Church and a member of the Oak Ridge Atomic Lodge
#354. He loved his family and was always there for them offering encouragement
and Christian advice. Preceded in death by: mother and father, Dewey and Phyllis
Anderson; brothers, William and Dewey Anderson; sister, Alice Bee Anderson;
and grandsons, Terry and Ronnie Patton. He is survived by: wife, Gladys
Anderson of Knoxville; brother, Richard (Robbie Mae) Anderson; sister, Fannie Ball;
sister-in-law, Vera Anderson of Oak Ridge; and Aunt, O.Z. Dart of Jackson, MS.
Children are: Dorothy (Norris) Patton of Jackson, MS, Alice Anderson, James
(Delores) Anderson, Vickie Thompson (Kirk Brandon) all of Oak Ridge, Gloria
(Derrick) Batiste, Phyllis (James) Watts and Barbara (Morris) Nance all of
Knoxville, Woodrow Jr., and David Anderson, of Chattanooga; and daughter, Mary
(Marcus) Martin of Savannah, GA. Devoted grandchildren include: Norris and Brian
Patton, Shalonda (Christopher) Long Taylor, Kia Batiste, Shawn (Danielle),
Benjamin, Johnisha, Jerome, Danielle, and Kenisha Anderson, Angel and Joseph
Thompson, Morris and Joshua Nance, James Watts, and Renee (Jermaine) Wilson. Special
nieces are: Vernistine and Lakisha Anderson, Rayshell Booker, Shirley Kirk,
Cornell Henderson, Catherine Gipson, and Anita Anderson Dotson. Special nephews
are: Timothy Kirk, Richard Whitt, Dewey Anderson, Jr., William Alexander, and
Eric Higgins. Devoted great-grandchildren: (TaShauntae Collins & Selena and
Joseph Thompson, V) and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and friends. Special friends are: Earleane Birt and Annabelle Jones.
Special thanks to Dr. Helen Vodopick, Covenant Health Hospice, and Methodist
Medical Center 3rd and 4th floor nursing staff. Our family thanks you for their
kindness and prayers. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 16, 2005
from 12n-1:00p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:00p.m. at Oak Valley
Baptist Church, 199 Hampton Road, Oak Ridge, TN. Interment will be in the Oak Ridge
Memorial Gardens. Rev. Hardil Thomas and Rev. Darris Waters officiating. The
family will be meeting at the Anderson Home, 103 Wilberforce Ave., Oak Ridge,
TN. In lieu of flowers, please make contribution to Scarboro Day Care Center,
148 Carver Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 in memory of Woodrow Anderson, Sr.

KENNEDY, SERGEANT FIRST CLASS STEPHEN CURTIS - of Oak Ridge. Stephen was born
April 6, 1969 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. He passed away April 4, 2005 while
serving with the Army National Guard's D Battery ,First Squadron, 278th
Regimental Combat Team in Iraq. Stephen served as the Training NCO for his unit. He
was also a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm while serving in the
United States Marine Corps. He was a Cub Scout leader and Little League
baseball coach. Preceded in death by: his daughter, Megan. Survived by: his wife of
4 years, Tiffany Kennedy; children, Stephen Gregory Kennedy of Washington,
Morgan Alexis Kennedy, Logan Andrew Kennedy and Reagan Renaissance Kennedy all
of the home; parents, Robert Kennedy Sr. and wife, Jo of Rockledge, FL;
brother, Robert Kennedy Jr. and wife, Peggy of New York; sister, Bobbi Gillis and
husband, Robert of Connecticut and 3 nieces. The family will receive friends from
5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services
will be held at 7 a.m. Thursday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronny
Jones officiating. Military honors will be conferred following the funeral. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Stephen C.

TIDWELL, VIVIAN - age 91 of LaFollette passed away Monday, April 11, 2005 at
the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the
Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church and Daughters of America. Mrs. Tidwell was a
loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who
enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church to praise the Lord.
She also was a nanny to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by 2
husbands: Leonard Jordan and Hubert Charlie Tidwell; 1 daughter: Lois Mae Jordan;
grandsons: Mark Edward Tidwell and Morgan Wilson; parents: George Fleming and
Hattie Shelton Stevens; brothers: George Montgomery and Bobby Stevens;
sisters: Josephine Wilson and Marie Carroll. Mrs. Tidwell is survived by sons and
daughters-in-law: James Ronald and Betty Tidwell of LaFollette; Edward Verline
Tidwell of Knoxville; Larry and Nona Tidwell of Jacksboro; daughters and
sons-in-law: Leona and Carl Crisp; Charlene and Fred Jones; Carolyn Lowe; and Shelia
and David Smith all of LaFollette; 18 grandchildren and several great and
great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday at the Fundamental
Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Russell and Rev. Delmus Bruce
officiating. Interment will be in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday night at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. The body of Mrs.
Vivian Tidwell will lie in state from 1 to 2 PM Thursday before services at
the church. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
