Wilma Bargo age 76 of LaFollette passed away April 2 at the St. Mary's
Medical Center in Campbell County. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved to read
and work puzzles. She loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by
her parents, Floyd and Myrtle Bargo; twin sister, Willa Tosher. She is
survived by her son, Eddie Mitchell of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Shirley Mitchell of
Toledo, Ohio; special friend, Donald Wilson of LaFollette; brother, Curt Bargo;
sister, Lorene Griffith.; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two
great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral Services were April 5 in Martin Wilson Chapel with
Rev. Jonnie Brown officiating. Interment was in Grantsboro Cemetery. Martin
Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Lona Heatherly Willoughby Davis, 104, died April 2. Born December 19, 1900,
in LaFollette she lived in Akron, Ohio since 1929. She and her husband, Richard
Davis, owned and operated the Ellet Cleaners in the 1940's and 50's. She was
preceded in death by her first husband, Olaf Willoughby; second husband,
Richard Davis; son, Glen Willoughby; daughter, Thelma Neuwirth; great-grandson,
Nicholas Bergner; brothers, Joe and Roy Heatherly; sisters, Carrie Wolfenbarger,
Marie Richbourg Fessler, and Bonnie Fugit. She is survived by her
grandchildren, Donna and Jeffrey Neuwirth, and Lisa, Greg, and Mark Willoughby; three
great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews..
Funeral services were April 6 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd.,
Akron, with Rev. G. Rod Taylor officiating. Interment was in the Greenlawn
Memorial Park. Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Emma Jane Ford, age 67, of LaFollette, passed away April 2. She was a member
of Demory Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert
Leon Ford; mother, Susie Wilhoit; sister, Pauline Wyrick. She is survived by her
sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Wanda Wilhoit, Thomas and Ashleigh Ford,
all of LaFollette; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother,
Tom Wilhoit of Ohio. Funeral Service were April 4 at Cross Chapel with the Rev.
Randy Comer officiating.Interment was in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Kenneth Wayne Godfrey, age 64 of Clinton passed away April 2 at the Methodist
Medical Center. He was a member and Deacon at Temple Baptist Church of
Powell. He worked at BWXT/Y-12 as a Lab Analyst and was a veteran of the United
States Navy. He was preceded in death by his father, Burl Godfrey.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Godfrey of Clinton; sons,
Andrew Wayne Godfrey and wife, Christie of Clinton, Matthew Kenneth Godfrey of
Clinton; mother, Thelma Godfrey of LaFollette; sister, Brenda Berry of Ellijay,
GA; numerous sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral
services were April 4 at the Temple Baptist Church with the Pastor Clarence Sexton
officiating. Interment was in the Woodhaven Memorial Garden. The active deacons
at Temple Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Murriel Hensley, age 80 of LaFollette passed away April 4 at the St. Mary's
Health and Rehab in LaFollette. She was a member of the Fundamental Missionary
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father,
Tinnie Marlow and Bill Teague; sister, Billie June King; brother, Julius Leach;
sister-in-law, Joyce Leach; close friends, Vernon and Opal Gambrel, Edward and
Betty Jo Randolph who raised her and provided her with a loving home; father and
step-mother, Lonnie Williamson and Lina Lynch. She is survived by her
husband, Doyle E. (Ted) Hensley; son and daughter-in-law, Terry Ray and Shirley
Hensley of LaFollette; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Esco Raines of Caryville;
grandchildren, Candace Hensely Schulz, Seth Burns, Matt Burns, Stacy and Mike
Richesin, Daryl and Jenny Raines; great grandchildren, Allea Burns, Abbi
Burns, Josh Strong, Austin and Alivia Raines; sisters, Gloria Ann Allen, Johnny
Lawson, Jimmie White, Jackie Hassler; brothers, Curt Teague, Benny Teague, Joe
Leach and Louis Williamson. She was raised with Delight Watson and Pat Massey;
lots of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were April 6 at Cross Chapel with
the Rev. Larry Russell officiating. Interment will be April 7 (Thursday) at
Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens. Cross Funeral Home was in charge
of the arrangements.
Brian Lee "BJ" Johnson, a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and
cousin will be remembered as one who loved his life. He brought much love,
wisdom and compassion to his family who will ever be mindful of a missing link. He
was born April 8, 1976 at Baptist Hospital in Corbin, KY to Vivian Johnson
and Robert Johnson. He was educated in Jellico and accomplished four years of
football upon graduation in 1994 at Jellico High School. He was employed at DDD
(Triple D) in the shipping department in Clinton until his illness. On the
night of March 30 the beloved spirit passed peacefully at Vanderbilt Hospital in
Nashville from this world into that of eternal life with our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. He was truly loved and will be missed. He was preceded in death
by his paternal grandmother, Ola Mae Johnson; grandfather, Noble Cortland
Smoot, Sr.; great-paternal grandparents, William "Rab" Tye and Thelma Tye. He
leaves to forever cherish his memory, his parents, Robert and Vivian Johnson of
Jellico; his beloved brother, Robert (Robbie) Antwon Johnson of Jellico; his
beloved sister, Venita (Cissco) Renee Johnson of Clinton; grandmother, Nona Smoot
of Williamsburg, KY; very special nephew, Robert Antwon Johnson, III of
Jellico; a host of aunts, uncles, great uncles, great aunts and cousins and
friends.
Arrangements were by Cox and Son Funeral Home.

Kenneth Everidge McElroy, age 83 of LaFollette passed away April 3 at the St.
Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of the Pleasant
Ridge Baptist Church and a Veteran of War World II. He enjoyed being part of the
activities of the Campbell County Senior Citizens Center where he loved to
play pool with friends. He also like to fish and loved all sports. He was a fan
of the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Lady Vols and Coach Pat Summitt and he
also loved to listen to music. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary
McElroy; parents, Hansford and Molly Tate McElroy; brothers, Charlie McElroy,
James, Fred and Dexter Tate; sister, Rennie Tate Hill; special nephew, J.T. Tate.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Lee and Elaine
McElroy; grandchildren, Sean and Donald McElroy all of LaFollette; special niece,
Doris Gibson and several more nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and
friends. Funeral Services will be at 8 p.m. on April 7(Thursday) in the Chapel
of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Freeman and Rev. Jimmy
Griffith officiating. Interment will be at noon on April 8 in the Jones Cemetery in
the Bethlehem Community with full military honors conducted by the Campbell
County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 7
(Thursday) before funeral services.


Ella Mae Miller, age 79 of LaFollette passed away March 30 at the St. Mary's
Medical Center of Knoxville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of
LaFollette where she was secretary for 17 years and also worker with the Senior
Citizens Committee of the First Baptist Church. She was a very active member
of the Campbell County Historical Society and a member of the DAV Auxiliary
and the Republican Women's Club. She was a loving, devoted wife of 59 years,
mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles T. Sr. and Verla Wilson
Mowell; brother, Frank D. Mowell. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Miller
of LaFollette; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Pam Miller of Jacksboro;
daughter and son-in-law, Lora Jean and William Wilson of LaFollette; grandson and
wife: Keith and Lynette Miller of Knoxville; brothers, Charles T. Mowell Jr.
of Brookville, OH, L.T. Mowell of Kettering, OH; sister, Loretta Kitchens of
Dayton, OH; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and
friends.
Funeral Services were April 2 at the First Baptist Church of LaFollette with
Rev. Lane Harris officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery. In Lieu of
flowers please make donations to LaFollette First Baptist Church Bus Fund, 255
West Central Ave. LaFollette, TN 37766. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in

Norris Delano Murray age 69 of Pioneer went to be with the Lord on March 31
at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN where he was vacationing with his
wife Mary K. He was saved November 18, 2004. He loved to camp and fish. He loved
spending time with his grandchildren. He was a board member of Mt. Heritage
in Stinking Creek for several years. She was preceded in death by his parents,
James and Maggie Teague Murray; brothers, Jimmy, Jack, and Lynn Murray;
sisters, Evelyn Loy, Bobbie Murray, and Emma Sue Cox. She is survived by her wife,
Mary K. Murray of Pioneer; sons and daughters in law, Darryl and Karen Murray
of LaFollette, David and Kathy Murray of Caryville; son, Mike Murray of
Pioneer; grandchildren, Candace, Jered, Kayla, and Clifton; brother, Austin Murray of
Ontario, Canada; sister, Betty Ridenour of LaFollette; special friends, Jim
Straton and Charles Smiddy; several nieces and nephews and a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral Services were April 3 in Martin Wilson Chapel with
Rev. Don Allen, Rev. Donald Shown and Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Interment
was in Meredith Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements.

James Lee Norman, age 65 of Elk Valley Community passed away April 3 at the
Ft. Sanders Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. He had been a member of Lick
Fork Baptist Church since childhood. He was a member of the American Legion.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with
his family and friends. He was a Vietnam Veteran having received the Purple
Heart, the Combat and Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Medal, 1st Award Air Medal
Sharpshooter .45 caliber pistol, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of
Vietnam Campaign. He was preceded in death by his father: Woodard Norman; sister,
Ellen Norman. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Norman; son, James Wesley
Norman; daughter, Pam Norman all of Elk Valley; granddaughter that he adored,
Amber Renee Lawson; mother, Sybil Baird Norman of Williamsburg, KY; brothers,
Darrell Norman of Phoenix City, AL, Sonny Norman of Jacksboro, Roger Norman of
St. Clair Shores, MI, Ronnie Norman of Saginaw, MI, Don and Harold Norman both
of Elk Valley; sisters, Jo Ann Campbell of St. Clair Shores, MI, Cynthia Jones
of Williamsburg, KY; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives
and friends.
Funeral Services were April 6 at the Newcomb Baptist Church with Rev. Steve
Morgan officiating. Internment was in the Baird Cemetery with full military
honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in
charge of the arrangements.

Jimmy James Rosenbaum, age 23 of the Habersham Community of LaFollette,
passed away March 28 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was
saved at the Woodson Gap Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by father,
Jimmy; grandparents, Junior and Easter Rosenbaum and Jim and Pernie Hendren. He
is survived by his mother, Gladys Marie Rosenbaum of LaFollette; brother, Scott
Bradley Rosenbaum of LaFollette; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other
relatives and friends. Graveside services and interment were April 2 at the Peabody
Cemetery with Minister Tim Mefford officiating. Walters Funeral Home was in
charge of the arrangements.

Hassie Stiner, 89, of LaFollette, passed away March 30 at home with her
family present. She was a member of Forks Grove Baptist Church where she taught
Sunday school until her disabling illness precluded attendance. She was preceded
in death by her parents, C.H. and Emma Bullard of Speedwell; husband of 62
years, Emit Stiner ; beloved son, Glen Stiner, both of LaFollette; brothers
Alfred Bullard of Speedwell and Carl Bullard of Oak Grove, Ky ; sisters, Myrtle
McCarty of Monroe, Michigan and Beatrice Cox of Powell. She is survived by her
sons, Carl Stiner and Tom Stiner, both of LaFollette, Emory Stiner of Asheboro,
NC, ;daughter JoAnn Stiner Sharp of LaFollette; grandchildren, Tommi Allen and
Derrick Stiner of LaFollette, Carla Reel of Knoxville, Laurie Lancaster of
Memphis, Mark Stiner of Huntsville, AL, and Shannon Cornelison of Goldsboro, NC
and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by hundreds of community
neighbors and friends who fondly call her "Aunt Hassie" because of her outreach,
touch of kindness and role-model mentoring to everyone whose life she has
touched. A self-taught Biblical scholar, Hassie Stiner has taught Sunday school
all her adult life and has had a profoundly positive influence on every person
she has met. Funeral services were March 31 at Forks Grove Baptist Church with
Rev. Ronnie Poston officiating. Interment was in the Fincastle Cemetery.In

Donnie Poston, 564 Bethlehem Rd., LaFollette, TN 37766 or Campbell County Cancer
