GIBSON, IRENE 93 - formerly of Spring City, Born in Campbell County, TN,
RIGGS, EVELYN JUANITA - age 72 of Jacksboro,

GIBSON, IRENE 93 - formerly of Spring City, died Monday April 4, 2005, at
Gasslite Villa in Canton, Ohio. Born in Campbell County, TN, she was the daughter
of the late Grover C. and Ella Sexton Meredith. She was preceded in death by:
her husband, Earl Gibson; brother, Bart Meredith; and sister, Azilee Duncan.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spring City for more
than 50 years. She had a love of singing for her Lord and did so as long as she
was physically able. She will always be remembered by her family and those
who knew her as a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by: daughters,
Wanda (Jim) Beavers, Canton, Ohio; Peggy (Frank) Cagle, Lenoir City, TN;
Meredith G. Gibson, Irvine, CA; sisters, Shirley Lay, Cincinnati, Ohio; Gladys
Hamilton, Phoenix, AZ; and sister- in-law, Lou Ella Meredith, Jacksboro, TN. Also
surviving are: 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and nine great-great
grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life
service will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Spring City First Baptist Church,
where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the
service. Rev. David Sharp will preside. Interment will be in Spring City Memorial
Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are by Vaughn
Funeral Home, Spring City.

RIGGS, EVELYN JUANITA - age 72 of Jacksboro, passed away Wednesday April 6,
2005 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Campbell Co. She was a member of High
Knob Baptist Church. Mrs. Riggs was a loving mother, grandmother and great
grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Preceded in
death by husbands, Harry Lee Polson and Jess Riggs, Jr.; infant son, Tommy Lee
Polson; daughter, Cindy Riggs Turner; parents, William and Flossie Goins Comer;
brothers, Howard and Pat Comer. Survived by son and daughter in law, Jerry
and Connie Polson of Knoxville; daughter, Linda Pemberton of Oak Ridge;
daughters and sons in law, Barbara and Chuck Gossett of Russell Springs, Ky., Rosemary
and Chuck Roberson of LaFollette, Regina and Darian Johnson of Jefferson
City; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother, Ed Comer of LaFollette;
sisters, Mary Lee Johnson of LaFollette, Martha Jane Kendal of Nashville;
several nieces and nephew and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral
services will be 8 p.m. Friday, April 8 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Leroy
Braden officiating. Interment will be 12 noon Saturday in Davis Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday night before funeral
services. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
