ARNOLD SHIPWASH
Arnold Shipwash, 70, of
Lorain, died Sunday at St.
Joseph's Hospital after a three
month illness.
He was born in Caryville,
Tenn., and was a resident of
Lorain for 43 years.
Mr. Shipwash was a mill
wright at U.S. Steel in Lorain for
34 years before retiring in 1975.
He was a member of the
Caryville Baptist Church and
belonged to the Lorain County
Beagle Club.
He is survived by his wife
Vesta (nee Futrell), to whom he
had been married 50 years; one
son Frank of Lorain; three
grandchildren; and two sisters,
Mrs. Virgie Howard of North
Carolina and Mrs. Robert (Ella)
Kelly of Tennessee.
Friends may call at the
Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home,
2920 Broadway, Lorain, Monday
from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held
at 1 p.m. in the funeral home
with the Rev. Robert Schroyer
from the Church of the Open
Door officiating.
Burial will be at Ridge Hill
Memorial Park in Lorain.
Memorial contributions if
desired can be made to the
American Cancer Society.
