BENNETT, HARRY LEE "BRUZ" - 82, of Keller, TX
BOLES, MR. MICHAEL LEE - age 56, Rockwood, TN,
MULLINS, HOYT E., SR. - age 75, of Solway
BENNETT, HARRY LEE "BRUZ" - 82, of Keller, TX passed away Satur-day, March 5,
2005 at his home with family by his side. He was born June 22, 1922, in Coal
Creek, Tennessee, son of coal miner, Frank, and homemaker, Katie, and raised
in the hills of eastern Tennessee to appreciate God's gifts and to 'love one
another'. He followed these convictions throughout his life. He was a veteran of
WW II, serving with the U. S. Navy and he retired in 1985 from Arnold
Engineering Development Center in Tullahoma. He was blessed with a vivacious and
loving spirit. He enjoyed playing in the Keller Senior Center Kitchen Band and
jumped at any opportunity to dance and laugh with his wife, Anna Lou, with whom
he would have celebrated 59 years of marriage on May 30th. Harry was a Ch
ristian and served his Father well with a caring manner and welcoming smile that he
offered to all. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Keller, TX and had
previous memberships at First Baptist Church of Lake City, TN, First Baptist
Church of Tullahoma, TN, Robertsville Baptist Church of Oak Ridge, TN. His
heart sang along with hymns in church or at the ballpark during the National
Anthem. He was a gentleman in every way and always put others before himself. Harry
always greeted you as his 'Buddy' with a powerfully kind hand-shake and a
gentle hug. Harry was a model Christian, a great American and the treasure of his
family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Katie Hightower
Bennett; brothers-in- law, John H. Edwards, Tom Alderson, Ralph Weatherford, and
Claude Coile. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Lou Edwards Bennett of
Keller, TX; daughter, Donna Lee and her husband, George Purcell of Roa-noke,
TX; sisters, Mary Frank Coile of Oak Ridge, TN, Carmetia Alder-son of Clinton,
and Vivian Minish Weatherford and her husband, H.D. of Oak Ridge; grandsons,
Tom Pur-cell of Roanoke, TX and David Pur- cell of Fort Worth, TX; nephews,
Mark Alderson of Clinton, Bennett Weatherford of Oak Ridge; nieces, Joy
Weatherford Katz and Ralphine Weatherford of Oak Ridge; and several other family
members. Funeral services are Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Weatherford
Mortuary with Dr. Michael Prince officiating. The burial will follow at Oak Ridge
Memorial Park. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of
contributions to 1st Baptist Church of Keller, TX, Building Fund, 225 Keller Parkway,
Keller, TX 76248; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or to a charity of choice. The family will receive
friends on Thursday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge. An

BOLES, MR. MICHAEL LEE - age 56, Bernard Avenue, Rockwood, TN, passed away
Sunday, March 6, 2005 in the Roane Medical Center in Harriman, TN. Before his
retirement, he worked in the Maintenance Depart-ment at K-25 and served as a
Union Stewart at Y-12. He was of the Baptist Faith, a Vietnam Veteran of the U.
S. Army, 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, Pointman & Long Range Re-con, a
member of the VFW, member of American Legion Post No. 50 and a member of the Roane
County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Preceded in death by father, Arlie
Boles; sister, Janet Boles. Survivors include: wife: Dianna Boles, Rockwood, TN;
daughters: Shana Lea' Ann Boles, Oliver Springs, TN, Lauren Gail Boles,
Rockwood, TN; mother: Evelyn C. Boles, Rockwood, TN; sister: Sarah Thomas & husband,
Dwight, Anderson, SC; aunt: Betty Carroll, Rockwood, TN; brothers-in-law &
family: Bobby Tweed & Wife, Alanna & children, Travis & Stefanie, Rockwood, TN,
David Tweed & wife, Vicki & daughter, Traci, Knoxville, TN, Dennis Tweed & Wife,
Annette & children, Alex & Alayna, Charleston, TN. Funeral services will be
held Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 8:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with
Rev. Charles Kelley officiating. Graveside services and interment will be
held Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. in the Oak Grove Cemetery with full honors by the
Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends
Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Mortuary. Evans Mortuary of
Rockwood is serving the family of Mr. Michael Lee Boles.
MULLINS, HOYT E., SR. - age 75, of Solway passed away Sunday, March 6, 2005
after a long illness. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and
grandfather. Hoyt Sr. was a retired coal mine operator with Indian Creek Coal Company.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his
Mother and Father, James Oliver and Carrie Mullins; sister, Helen Handley;
brothers, James Mullins and H.D. Mullins. Survivors include: his sister, Hazel
Earley of Birmingham, Alabama; wife, Lucille Mullins; son and daughter-in-law Hoyt
E. Mullins, Jr. and Paige of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; daughters and
sons-in-law, Anita and Lynn Graham of Oliver Springs, Brenda and Ronnie Duff of
Farragut; grandchildren, Michael Yeary, Mitchell Yeary, Denton Graham, Cydney
Mullins, Morgan Mullins, and step grandson Josh Graham. Also survived by long
time companion Rita Fannin and her daughter, Sherri Martin. Family will receive
friends on Tuesday March 8, 2005 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Martin Oak Ridge
Funeral Home; the funeral service will follow with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating.
Graveside service will be Wednesday March 9, 2005 11:00 am at Oak Ridge
Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the
Baptist Hospice P.O. Box 22 Knoxville, TN 37901. Online messages to the
