COUPLE WED 75 YEARS AGO

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (UPI) -
Mr. and Mrs. James E. Lay
celebrated their 75th wedding
anniversary today but there will
be no party "because we're old-
fashioned".
Lay, 91, and his wife, 88, were
married on Valentine's day 1889
in Jellico, Tenn. He was 16 and
she was 13.
The former farmer and cabinet
maker had this advice for living
a long and happy life: "I don't drink,
I don't play cards, never smoked
or chewed tobacco".
