LINDSAY, JAMES ROBERT "BOB" - age 79 of LaFollette,
MILLER, MRS. KATHLEEN - 86, of Oak Ridge,

LINDSAY, JAMES ROBERT "BOB" - age 79 of LaFollette, passed away Thursday,
November 18, 2004 at St. Mary's Medical Center, LaFollette. He was a member of
Cedar Hill Baptist Church, a US Navy veteran and a retired businessman, retiring
from the LaFollette Cabinet Shop. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh and
Bertha Lindsay, and infant sister, Opal Lindsay. He is survived by wife, Irene
Brown Lindsay; son, Robert Wayne Lindsay; and daughter & son in law, Susan and
Jasper Walden, all of LaFollette; brother, Frank Lindsay, LaFollette; sisters,
Agnes Gross, LaFollette, Bonnie Marie Cross, Tampa, Fla.; several nieces and
nephews and numerous friends; foster brother, Hudon Overbay, LaFollette. Funeral
service 8 p.m. Saturday, November 20, at Cross Chapel, Rev. Ronnie Arnold
officiating. Interment 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 21 at Bakers Forge Cemetery
with military honors by Campbell County Honor Guard. The family will receive
friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday before the funeral service. Arrangements by Cross
Funeral Home.

MILLER, MRS. KATHLEEN - 86, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, November 15, 2004, at
St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She taught school for thirty-six years
in both Kentucky and Tennessee and retired in 1980, teaching at Rosedale in
1953, Briceville in 1954, and the last twenty- five years at South Clinton
Elementary. She taught for many wonderful principals in the county, but was
especially fond of Bill Holbrook at Briceville, and Bruce Gregg and V. L.
Stonecipher at South Clinton. At retirement, she was voted a life-time honorary
membership in the Parent-Teacher Organization at her school. She had been active over
the years in several local congregations, including New Salem Baptist and
Calvary Baptist, Oak Ridge, Second Baptist, Clinton, and for the past twenty-eight
years at Central Baptist, Oak Ridge. She had served as both and Intermediate
Girls and Adult Women Sunday School Teacher, the Senior Adult Sunday School
Director, Adult Choir Member, the Senior Adult Choir (Jubilant Jubilee), and was
a charter member of the Senior Adult group known as the Go-Getters. Preceded
in death by: parents, George Barnes Warfield and Cora Caroline Brittain
Warfield; husband, Leonard C. Miller; and sister, Pauline Fultz. Survived by: one
daughter, Kathy Carolyn Miller, of Oak Ridge; and her sister's son, Michael
Fultz, Santa Barbara, CA. She has many other nieces and nephews, cousins, and
lifelong-friends too numerous to name. Some especially dear friends are Cordie and
Edward Turner, Mary Jones, of Oak Ridge, and Dixie Braden, of Clinton. The
funeral will be held at Central Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, on Saturday, November
20, at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. Bobby Mullins and Rev. Bob Gray officiating. The
interment will follow at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive
friends at the Church from 1:30-2:30, preceding the service. The family wishes
to thank the staff and management at St. Mary's Hospital, Knoxville, and
Windwood Healthcare, Clinton for the kind and loving care that Kathleen never failed
to receive at their hands through the years. We also publicly wish to thank
Dr .John M. Burkheart, his late father, Dr. John Burkheart, Dr. Bruce Avery,
and everyone on their staffs. They could not have been kinder nor taken better
care of her. We also thank Mrs. Della Kesterson and Ms. Nancy Snowden for their
special care and concern. Weatherford Mortuary in charge of the arrangements.
