MARLOW, SHARON ANN CORDELL - age 57, of Clinton,
MARLOW, SHARON ANN CORDELL - age 57, of Clinton, went home peacefully to be
with Jesus September 29, 2004 at her residence after a long, courageous, and
faithful battle with cancer. She was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church
where she sang in the choir and was a member of WMU. Sharon was preceded in death
by her father Hugh Cordell; brothers, H.L. & Donald Cordell. Survivors: best
friend & husband of 39 years, Lawrence Marlow of Clinton; son, Gene & wife
Tammy Marlow of Clinton; daughters, Michelle & husband Dewayne Bailey of Lake
City, Jessica & husband Shaun Ray of Clinton; two very special grandsons, Brandon
Marlow & Reece Bailey who were the joy of her life; mother, Lillian Cordell
of LaFollette; sisters, Brenda & husband Don Shelton of Jacksboro, Betty Ray of
LaFollette; brothers, Gary & wife Debbie Cordell of Jacksboro, J.C. & wife
Anna Cordell of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and a
multitude of friends. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday,
September 30, 2004 at Poplar Creek Baptist Church with funeral services following with
Rev. Greg Brewer & Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. The burial will be 11:00 AM,
Friday at Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Sharon requested that
donations be made to the building fund of Poplar Creek Baptist Church. The family
would like to extend their appreciation to all who have shown their love and
kindness throughout Sharon's long and difficult illness.
