CLINTON, LOUISE CHASE - age 75 of Lake City, Tenn. was called home Thursday,
April 1, 2004. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lake City. She is
preceded in death by her husband, Dallas A. Clinton; brothers, Woodrow Chase,
Mack Chase, John Chase and Lawrence Chase. Survivors: son & daughter in law,
Paul and Francine Clinton, Caryville; grandchildren, Stephen and Danielle
Clinton, Manfield, Ohio, Gerald and Michelle Hale, Caryville; great grandsons,
Gabriel Owens and Gavin Clinton. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2004 at
the Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral service 8 p.m. Saturday April 3, 2004 in the
Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. H.R. Douglas officiating. Interment 10
a.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004 at the Sammie Foust Cemetery in Lake City, Tenn.

GRISHAM, BILLY JOE - age 44, of Heiskell, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2004
at Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of East Wolfe Valley Baptist
Church. Survivors: mother, Virginia Grisham Clark of Heiskell; sisters, Susie
Moore & husband Stacy of Heiskell, Janice Stringfield & husband Kenneth of
Heiskell, Judy Wolfenbarger & husband Dale of Heiskell; several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, April 3, 2004 at
Holley-Gamble. The funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday at East Wolfe Valley
Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Walton & Nora King officiating. The interment will
be 2:00 PM, East Wolfe Baptist Church. The family has requested memorials be
made to East Wolfe Valley Church, 1031 E. Wolfe Valley Rd., Heiskell, TN 37754.

LEE, MARIE MAXINE - age 73 of Oliver Springs, passed away April 2, 2004 at
Methodist Medical Center. Mrs. Lee was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working
with her crafts, and also bird watching. Survivors include her nine children,
Linda Lee Russell of Oliver Springs, Peggy Lee Duncan of Tazewell, Gloria Lee
Bates of Kingston, Robert Allen Lee of Wartburg, Darlene Lee Davis of Oliver
Springs, Steven Warren Lee of Oliver Springs, Lisa Lee Bradshaw of Oliver
Springs, Teddy Dwayne Lee of Wartburg, and Anthony Shawn Lee of Oliver Springs; 19
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lee is also survived by three
sisters, Shirley Massengill of Lafayette, Patricia Philips of Clinton and
Sandra Lowe of Oliver Springs; a special friend, Pastor Ronnie Nickell and a
special niece, Faye Butler. Preceded in death by her husband, John Johnson Lee; her
parents, Robert Carson Monday and Cora Monday Scott; a great grandson, Boston
Russell; and one sister, Juanita Daugherty. Mrs. Lee's family will be
receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Oliver Springs Mortuary.
Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004 in the Chapel of the
Oliver Springs Mortuary, with Rev. Ronnie Nickell officiating. Interment will be 11
a.m. Monday April 5, 2004 in the Solway United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Oliver Springs Mortuary will be handling the arrangements.
NAIL, IRENE B. - age 81, of Oak Ridge, passed away Friday April 2, 2004 at
Methodist Medical Center. Born August 15, 1922 in Silver Creek, Mississippi to
the late J.T. and Ella Bennett Brewer. A resident of Oak Ridge since 1950 and
was employed at Lovemans in early to middle sixties. She enjoyed reading and
art (painting). She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and
grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Preceded in
death by a grandson Mark A. Dahmus. She is survived by husband James T. Nail of
Oak Ridge; daughters; Linda Butler and husband Roger of Nashville, TN, Susan
Saunders and husband Barry A. of Oak Ridge, Marie Dahmus and husband Anthony
of Chattanooga, Tn; grandchildren; Jackie Hudson of Beverly Hills, Calif.,
Steve Hudson and wife Angie of Atlanta, GA., Jennifer Hudson of Nashville, TN.,
Kathy McDearmon and husband John of Nashville, TN., Stephanie Dahmus of
Brentwood, TN., Alicia Miller of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren; J.C., Elijah, and
Mark McDearmon; one brother Joe C. Brewer and wife Betty of Ferriday, LA; one
sister Aliene Coker and husband Ray of Folson, Calif. Funeral services will
be Sunday April 4, 2004 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Oak
Ridge with The Rev. Dr. Bob Cantrell officiating. The family will receive
friends Sunday from 1 to 2 at the church. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements
PARKS, CHARLENE - age 84 of Jacksboro passed away Friday, April 02, 2004 at
the NHC Healthcare Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of the Little Cove
Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Parks enjoyed sewing, embroidering, playing bingo,
cleaning house, washing, and spending time with her family and friends. She was
preceded in death by Husband: Arthur Parks; 2 infant children: Anetta and Steve
Parks; Parents: Mack and Grace Marlow Miller; Sisters: Alma Jean and Imogene
Miller; and Glena Sue Ward; Brothers: Raymond, Charles Edward and Billy Thomas
Miller. Mrs. Parks is survived by sons: Homer Parks of Morristown; Charles
and William Parks both of Jacksboro; daughters: Carolyn Whitus of Harriman and
Jane Johnson of Knoxville; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister:
Lillian Queener of Jacksboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 8 PM Sunday, April 4 in the
chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Queener officiating.
Interment will be 11 AM Monday in Marlow Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 6 to 8 PM Sunday before funeral services. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in
charge of these arrangements.
SAYNE, CHARLES E. (POPPY) - age 92 former resident of Rockford, TN, and
Kingston resident since 1960, passed away Thursday April 1, 2004 at Roane Medical
Center in Harriman. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He retired
from Union Carbide (K-25) after 35 years. Preceded in death by his loving wife
of 62 years Ila Sayne, parents Hugh H. and Bergie Houser Sayne, brothers
Trelius, Robert, and Gene, sisters Lela Brown, Ruth Crumley, and Blanche Sayne.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law: Charlcie and James Groover of Kingston; son
and daughter-in-law: Glenn and Mary Anne Sayne of Rockford, TN; grandchildren:
Susan McMahan; Steve Groover both of Kingston; Eddie Sayne of Knoxville; Becky
Dixon; Charles Sayne and Debbie Whitehead all of Rockford, TN; great
grandchildren: Leah Kolski (special care giver); Brandon and Ashley Sergent; Beverly
and Brooke Groover; Brad Dixon; Heather and Andrew Sayne; Christy and Josh
Whitehead; two special great great grandchildren: Haven Parris; Riley Taylor.
Funeral 7 pm Saturday April 3, 2004 in the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Mike Miller
officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 pm Sunday in Clark's Grove Cemetery
in Maryville for burial service. The family will receive friends from 6 until

SHARP, ISABEL GUY - was born March 30, 1910 in Jacksboro, TN., the daughter
of Charles Clarence Guy and Martha Bowmen Guy. She was a member of Lafollette
United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the United Methodist
Women for over 60 years. She was a retired school teacher having taught 5th
grade at West Lafollette Elementary for 25 years. She remained active in
retirement as a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, the Lafollette Book Club, the Campbell
County Historical Society and enjoyed her hobbies of cooking and growing roses
and tomatoes. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Robert
Hutsell Sharp; her brothers, Morgan C. Guy, Andrew C. Guy, and Julian C. Guy;
and her son-in-law, William B. Oldham. She is survived by: her daughter,
Frances Sharp Oldham, Knoxville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hatcher, Arlington, VA;
Krista Torrance, Signal Mountain, TN; Bill Oldham, Knoxville, and Rob Oldham,
Washington, DC; and her sisters, Charlotte Grose, Grasse Pointe, MI, and Vera
Hobby, Ashburn, GA. She is survived by: 3 great grandchildren. Funeral
service 3 p.m. Saturday, April 3, at Lafollette United Methodist Church, Rev. Danny
Hensley officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the
family requests memorials be made to the Lafollette United Methodist Church. The
family will receive Saturday, 1 till 3 p.m. before the service. Arrangements by
Cross Funeral Home.
