Leslie John Allen, age 84 of LaFollette died Feb. 11 at the Methodist Medical
Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of the Charity Worship Center of
LaFollette and an Army Veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by his wife: Mattie Fraizer
Allen; parents, Bandy and Emma Murray Allen; and several brothers and
sisters. Survivors include his sons, Billy Allen of LaFollette; Kyle Everett Allen of
Clairfield; daughters: Reba Joyce Hamberland and Francis Ann Jeffers both of
LaFollette; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great
grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services were Feb.13 in Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Harry James
officiating. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Cynthia Elizabeth Ayers, age 95 of LaFollette died Feb. 13 in Waynesville,
Oh. She was of the Church of God faith. Preceded in death by her husbands,
Sherman Wilburn and Clayborn Ayers; children, Doris, Delcie, Dorothy, Clayton and
Dora. Survivors include her daughter; Mavis Black and husband, Allan of
Bellbrook, Oh; sons, McCoy Wilburn, Jellico and Hutson Ayers and wife Sandy, Memphis;
five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Clancy Inman,
Athens. Funeral services were Feb. 16 at Cross Chapel with the Rev. John Jones
officiating. Interment was in the Davis Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Jean (Cadle) Buckner, born Oct. 16, 1931 in Fonde, Ky died at her
home. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her
husband of 52 years, William Thomas Buckner; parents, Roy and Emma Cadle;
brother, Roy Cadle, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Myra Lynne Hollingsworth and husband, John,
Knoxville; son, William Thomas (Tommy) Buckner and wife Devona, Knoxville;
grandchildren, John A. Briscoe and wife Donna, Townsend, Joshua T. Briscoe,
Greeley, Co ,Sarah, Will and Daniel Buckner, all of Knoxville; great-grandchildren,
Tanner and Montana Newroth, of Townsend; sisters, Ira Ellen Hale and husband,
Tom, Helen Seal and husband, John, Irene Underwood and husband, Earl all of
Trenton, Mi; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Joyce Nicely and Mary
Virginia Gilreath. Funeral services were Feb. 12 at Gentry-Griffey Chapel with
Rev. Chester Begley and Mr. John Briscoe officiating. In lieu of flowers the
family requests that memorials be made to Trenton Missionary Baptist Church, 407
Silbey Road, Trenton, Mi 48183. Gentry-Griffey Funeral Home was in charge of
the arrangements.

Evelyn Iris Gaylor, age 79 of Jacksboro died Feb. 13 at the Ft. Sander's
Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of the New Canaan Baptist
Church. Mrs. Gaylor loved her children and gardening. Preceded in death by her
husband: Elmus Gaylor; parents: William and Lola Lloyd Lay; 4 brothers and 2
sisters. Survivors include her sons and daughters: Dean Lay of Orlando, FL;
Alma Lawson; and Mary Botts both of Jacksboro; Peggy Smallwood of Caryville;
Jerry Gaylor and Kathy Copland both of Jacksboro; Tammy Gould of Reedsville, VA;
Elmus Gaylor Jr. of Caryville; brother, Joe Lay, Pioneer; 19 grandchildren and
25 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives
and friends. Funeral Services were Feb. 16 at the New Canaan Baptist Church
with Rev. Paul Slover, Rev. James Adkins and Rev. Al Byrd officiating. Interment
was in Terry Creek Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements.

Jack Gaylor Hatfield, age 67 of Canal-Winchester, Oh, formerly of Jellico,
died Feb. 11 at Echo Manor in Pickerington, Oh. Survivors include his son, Joe
Hatfield and wife Susan, Canal-Winchester, Oh; grandchildren, Joe Hatfield,
Westerville, Oh, Lola Hatfield, Amanda Hatfield, both of Canal-Winchester, Oh;
great-grandchild, Cooper Jack Hatfield, Canal-Winchester, Oh; brother, Carson
Hatfield and wife, Pernia, Jellico; sisters, Patricia Hicks, Jellico, Janie Sue
Viar and husband, Johnny, Paint Rock,Tn, Mary Southerland and husband, Henry,
Jellico, Charlene Chambers and husband, Bill, Jellico; a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral services were Feb. 14 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Raymond Parks officiating. Interment was in the Douglas Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Margaret Elizabeth Johnson age 53 of Brainerd, Minnesota died Feb. 13, in St.
Cloud, Minnesota. She was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by her
parents James Henry Johnson and Florence Myers Johnson. Survivors include her
daughters, Carol Ann Johnson of Texas, Ashley Lynn Smith of Chicago, IL; two
granddaughters; sisters, Sherry Sergott of Brainerd, Minnesota and Ann Garner of
Jacksboro; brothers, David Johnson of Chicago, IL and Hank Johnson of Lenoir
City, TN; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. Graveside services and interment was Feb. 17 at Clawson Cemetery in
Speedwell with Rev. Jim Wilcox officiating. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette
was in charge of the arrangements.

Gracie Craig Jones, age 84 of Dayton, Oh, formerly of LaFollette died Feb. 11
at Hospice of Dayton. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Rhoda
(Sweat) Craig; husband, Lawrence Jones. Survivors include her son, Jerry D. and
wife, Marty Jones, Dayton, Oh; grandchildren, Ronald Jones, Jerry Jones, Danny
Jones, Keith Jones and Belinda Baumgardner; great-granddaughter, Jessica;
sisters, Cecil Meade and Bonnie Turner, both of LaFollette; brothers, Jess Craig, Mi
and Dennis Craig, Fl. Funeral services were Feb. 14 at Cross Chapel with Rev.
Ralph Cordell officiating. Interment was in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family
requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of Dayton. Cross
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements
