BOSHEARS, BRENDA SUE YANCEY - age 60 of Caryville, passed away Wednesday,
January 28, 2004 at her home in Caryville, Tenn. She was a member of the
Caryville First Baptist Church. Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister
who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She always was the first
to help anyone in need. Her courage through her disabling illness has been an
inspiration to her family and many friends. Brenda served Campbell County for
42 years in the positions of Campbell County Circuit Court Clerk and County
Court Clerk. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Truie (King) Yancey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Boshears; sisters, Shirley
(Yancey) Raines; and three brothers in law, Hoyel (Bud) Phillips of Pioneer,
Tenn., Otta Lee Bunch and Floyd Boshears; sisters in law, Joyce Bunch and
Margie Boshears. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Lynn Kitts; son in law,
David Kitts and a special grandson, Cody Ray Kitts; sister, Rochelle Phillips of
Pioneer, Tenn.; brother in law, Esco Raines and wife, Penny of Caryville;
three nephews, Ronald Pete Phillips and wife, Sue Phillips of Pioneer, Scott
Phillips and wife, Derita of Pioneer, Daryl Raines and wife, Virginia of Caryville;
nieces, Sandra Sproles and husband, Jack of Pioneer, Stacey Richesin and
husband, Mike of Sweetwater; a special great niece, Kristi Russ of Pioneer; and
special aunts, Mabel Thompson and Pina Jeffers both of Huntsville, Tenn.; and a
host of great nephews, nieces and a great-great nephew. She is also survived
by many cousins and friends who loved her dearly. Our loss is truly Heaven's
gain. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Saturday, January 31 in the Chapel of
Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. James West & George Ashbury officiating.
Interment will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Saturday before funeral services. Pallbearers will
be: Donnie Phillips, Preston Phillips, Ronnie Phillips, Scott Phillips, Daryl
Raines, Michael Richesin, Brian Russ and Jack Sproles. Special co-workers,
Debbie Byrd, Angie Jessie, Calvin Monday, Marsha Boccia, Brenda Seiber, Linda
Petrey, and Pat Shetterly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
Campbell and Scott County Cancer Center in memory of Brenda S. Boshears.

HEATHERLY, MR. J. MARSHALL - age 68 of LaFollette passed away Thursday,
January 29, 2004, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. He was the owner of J.
Marshall Heatherly's Grocery on College Hill for 33 years until his retirement in
1997. After retirement he continued to work in the family catering business. He
enjoyed traveling, storytelling, and spending time with family and friends. J.
Marshall was a lifetime member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded
in death by parents J. W. and Lee Ridenour Heatherly. Survivors include his
wife of 50 years Oveda Heatherly; son James M. Heatherly, Jr. and wife Carol of
LaFollette; daughters Margaret and husband, Mike Smith of Jacksboro and Anna
and husband, Danny Rangel of Von Ormy, Texas; grandchildren include Monica
Heatherly Snow and husband, Adam, Sara and Kyra Heatherly of LaFollette, Casey and
Taylor Smith of Jacksboro, Christopher Cantu and Isabella Rangel of Texas, and
a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services Sunday, February 1,
2004, 8 P.M. at Cedar Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Danny King and Rev. Ronnie
Arnold officiating. Graveside services and interment Monday 10 A.M. at Bakers
Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday before
services at Cedar Hill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests memorial gifts be made to St. Mary's Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville
Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to
be serving the family of Mr. J. Marshall Heatherly.


LOWE, JASON DEAN - age 23 of Michigan, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2004.
Visitation: 6-8:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the Hatmaker Funeral
Home. Funeral service: 8:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2004 in Hatmaker Funeral Home
Chapel. Interment: 2:00 PM Sunday, February1, 2004 at the New Vasper
Cemetery, in Caryville, TN. Hatmaker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

O'KAIN, GRADY LaFAYETTE, JR. - 76, of the Solway Community, died Thursday,
January 29, 2004 at his home, of an apparent heart attack. He was born August
27, 1927 in Dickson County, TN, the son of Grady L. and Katherine Miller O'Kain.
He moved to Oak Ridge in 1942 with his family. Mr. O'Kain worked for
Management Services Inc., in Oak Ridge for about 30 years. While working for MSI, he
and his family lived in Picayune, MS for about 2 years. He then worked for
Martin Marietta Energy Systems, where he was a Maintenance Supervisor until his
retirement in 1992. He was a Member of Central Baptist Church and a 50 plus year
member of the IBEW #270. Husband, father, brother, papaw, uncle - a man of
many talents and very much loved by all. KR4C to his Ham Radio friends, brother
to his family at Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, retired electrician from
Union Carbide Corporation, "Mr. Fix-It" for everyone he knew. He enjoyed
fishing, gardening and playing Rook. He thrived on being busy and was always
working and helping someone. Mr. O'Kain was preceded in death by his first wife,
Martha Ada Ferrell O'Kain, who died April 21, 1994. They had been married for 46
years. He is survived by: his wife of 7 months, Reba McGinnis O'Kain, of the
Solway Community; 3 daughters and their husbands, Wanda and Russell Jackson of
Oak Ridge, Karen and John Edward Moneymaker of Greeneville, TN and Carol and
Joe Hammer of Edenton, NC; step-daughter, Pat Weeks and husband J. W. and
step-son-in-law, Robert Southern, all of Oak Ridge; sister, Mae O'Kain Gill of the
Solway Community; 4 brothers and their wives, Bill J. and Ruby O'Kain of Oak
Ridge, Jim G. and Sybil O'Kain of Powell, Doyle C. and Linda O'Kain of
Huntsville, AL and David U. and Mary Kate O'Kain of Oak Ridge. grandchildren, Wendy
Jackson of Oak Ridge, Sarah Moneymaker, Jessica Moneymaker and John Grady "J.
G." Moneymaker, all of Greeneville, TN and Martha Hammer and Emily Hammer, both
of Edenton, NC. and step- grandchildren, Kara Weeks and Kelly Weeks of Oak
Ridge and Ashley Southern of Cookeville, TN. Funeral services are Saturday,
January 31, 2004 at 8:00pm at Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Bob Gray officiating.
Graveside services are Sunday at 3:30pm at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The
family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to Central Baptist
Church, 130 Providence Rd., Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The family will receive
friends on Saturday from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge.

WILSON, JACKIE WADE - age 40 of Caryville, born March 19, 1963, passed away
Thursday, January 29, 2004, at Johnson City Medical Center. He had spent the
last 18 years at Green Valley Developmental Center in Greenville, Tenn. Preceded
in death by grandparents, Luther Wilson and Alfred and Louise Smith. Survived
by parents, Harold & Mary Wilson, Caryville; grandmother, Dicie Wilson,
Caryville; sister & brother in law, Sandy & Jerry Wright, Caryville; brother,
Rodney Wilson, Caryville; niece, Keisha Wright; nephew, Justin Wilson. Funeral
service 8 p.m. Saturday, January 31 at Cross Chapel, Rev. Jobby Byrge and Rev.
Harold Duncan officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Sunday, February 1, at Campbell
Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday before the
funeral service. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.
