AULL, ANNIE LUCY TAYLOR - age 95, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away
Friday, January 9, 2004 at her home. Mrs. Aull was preceded in death by her
husband, Ensel Vencent Aull; by her parents, Anderson Taylor and Sarah Settle
Taylor; by a granddaughter, Kimberly Anette Aull; by two brothers, Alfred and
Richard Taylor; by seven sisters, Mary Ann Rohrer, Ellen "Nell" Johnson, Dorothy
Myrtle Rohrer, Elizabeth Violet Michener, Blanche Conlin, Ruth Russell,
Catherine Sykes and two other sisters that died at birth. Mrs. Aull was born March
9, 1908 in Philadelphia, Penn. She was a former employee of Roane Hosiery Mill.
Survivors: son, Wayne Allen Aull and wife, Joyce of Oliver Springs; grandson,
Wayne Allen Aull, II of Oliver Springs; great grandson, Dewayne Allen Aull of
Fla. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 8 p.m. in
the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. The
family will receive friends Saturday, between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at Sharp
Funeral Home. Burial and Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 11, 2004 at
1 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.

BYRGE, ELI - age 100 of Devonia, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2004 at his
home. Visitation: 6-9:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2004 at the Hatmaker
Funeral Home. Funeral service: 2:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the Free
Communion Baptist Church with Rev. Don Daugherty and Rev. Otis Phillips officiating.
Eli will lie in state one hour prior to his funeral service. Interment will
follow the funeral service at the Grave Hill Cemetery, Devonia, TN. Hatmaker
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

GODDARD, RUTH W. - age 87, formerly of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, January
6, 2004 in Atlanta, Ga. Member of Memorial United Methodist Church. Preceded
in death by her husband, Lamar Goddard. Survivors: daughters, Nancy and her
husband, Anthony Oneill of Atlanta, Carolyn Goddard of Atlanta; grandson, John
and his wife, Maria Faulkenberry of Atlanta; great grandson, Brandon
Faulkenberry of Atlanta; brother, Paul Woods of Clinton. Funeral services 11 a.m.
Saturday, January 10, 2004 Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Don Thomas
officiating. Interment in Sunset Cemetery. Family will receive friends 10-11 a.m.
prior to the funeral services. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of
arrangements.

LeBOW, GENEVA HAMILTON - age 79 of Knoxville, passed away Friday January 9,
2004 at Hillcrest North Nursing Home. Mrs. LeBow was retired from Oak Ridge
National Laboratory where she was employed for 42 years. Mrs. LeBow was a member
of First Baptist Church in Knoxville. Mrs. LeBow and her twin sister Jeanette
Hamilton West were known as the "Hamilton Twins" which sang at numerous
functions and radio programs during the 1940's. The twins sang on the WNOX "Mid-Day
Merry-go-Round" program frequently. Mrs. LeBow was preceded in death by her
parents, L.R. Hamilton, Sr. and Viola Hamilton, her husband James Ancil LeBow,
her twin sister Jeanette Hamilton West and her brother Harry Edward Hamilton.
She is survived by her brother LeRoy Hamilton, Jr. and wife Patricia of
Chattanooga; nephew James and wife Brooke LeBow of Atlanta, Ga., nephew Steven
Hamilton and niece Dr. Rhonda Hamilton Roddy of Chattanooga, other nieces and
nephews Dr. Mary Tanya Hamilton, Sandra Forray, Yvonne Hamilton, Brenda Williams and
Clark E. Hamilton all of Knoxville. The family will receive friends at the
Highland Memorial Chapel on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. with the funeral at 8 p.m.
conducted by Dr. Melvin Faulkner. The family and friends will assemble at the
Highland Memorial Mausoleum on Monday for a 12 noon graveside service. Highland

PATRICK, OSCAR FREAS (Major US Army (Ret.) - age 84 of Powell, died Thursday
January 8, 2004 at Shannondale Health Care Center, Knoxville. He was of the
United Methodist faith. Born in Orme, TN, he graduated from Wartburg High
School, attended the University of Massachusetts, the University of Maryland,
overseas, and the University of Tennessee, Nashville. During military duty, Mr.
Patrick served in Iceland, Libya, Germany, Korea, Japan, and USA. Upon his
retirement, he was employed by the Nashville architectural firm, Burkhalter-Hickerson
for 17 years as a plumbing designer and construction site observer. He is
survived by his wife, Alva Marjorie Patrick of Powell; brothers & sisters-in-law,
Don & Mary Patrick of Powell, Herman & Geraldine of Petal, MS; sisters, Jean
Beene of Knoxville, Betty Patrick of Petros, TN. The family will receive
friends 2:30-4:00 P.M. Sunday followed by the funeral service at Rose Mortuary Mann
Heritage Chapel with Rev. Mike Ramage officiating. Family and friends will
meet Monday at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for an 11:30 A.M. interment with
military honors by the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Suite H102, Portland
Bldg., 2200 Sutherland Ave., Knoxville, TN 37919 or your favorite charity.

ROSE, LULA GREGORY - age 84, of Clinton, Tn., passed away Thursday, January
8, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Rose, before her retirement was Director of Food
Services with Clinton City Schools. She was a dedicated member of Farmers
Grove Baptist Church and always looked forward to worshipping with her church
family. Preceded in death by her husband, Ray G. Rose, and a son-in-law, Don
Alley. Survivors: daughters, Glenna Alley of Jacksonville, Fl., Pat and husband,
William Wilson, of Knoxville, Tn.; sons, Harold and wife, Carol Rose, of
Clinton, Tn., James and wife, Jan Rose, of Clinton, Tn.; grandchildren, Donna &
husband, David Hurst, of Clinton, Tn, Jeff & wife, Jan Alley, and Rick Alley, all
of Jacksonville, Florida, Michelle and husband, Kenneth Fine of Oak Ridge,
Tn., Michael & wife, Betsy Wilson, of Knoxville, Tn.; Kevin and wife, Cindy Rose,
of Louisville, Ky, Kristina & husband, Keith Tosh, of Cookeville, Tn.; 13
great-grandchildren. Special thanks to caregiver, Bobbie Tackett. Funeral
services will be Sunday, January 11, 2004 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Moss Beets and Rev. Marty Stooksbury
officiating. Interment will follw at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Family will receive
friends from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 11th. Memorials may be made to

SHARP, PEARL WILSON - age 89 of LaFollette, passed away Thursday evening,
January 8 at St. Mary's Nursing Home, LaFollette. She was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by husband, George Luther Sharp; son, Emmitt Sharp and
daughter, Thelma Sharp. She is survived by sons, Carlos Pete Sharp, Ralph Sharp and
Denny Sharp, all of LaFollette; daughters, Edna Johnson, Nadine Miller and
Monnie Crutchfield, all of LaFollette; 21 grandchildren and numerous other
relatives and friends. Funeral services 8 p.m. Saturday January 10, at Cross Chapel,
Rev. Warren Howell, Rev. Don Reynolds and Rev. Larry Watts officiating.
Interment 2 p.m. Sunday January 11, at Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will
receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday before the funeral service. Arrangements by Cross
Funeral Home.
