BOSHEARS, NORA ELIZABETH - age 87, of the Fairview Community in Huntsville,
Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2003. She was born on December
24, 1915 in Claiborne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Rev. James M.
and Grace Marlow Day. She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by husband, Ed Boshears, Sr.; one grandson, Gary Lee
Jeffers; five brothers, Harold, James, John, Art and Paul; three sisters, Imogene,
Mae and Evalee. Survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Ed Boshears, Jr. and
wife, Jennifer, Curtis and Ann, Gary and wife, Carol, all of the Fairview
Community, Paul and wife, Patsy of Oneida; six daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie
and husband, Johnny Murley, Loretta and husband, Ray Hatfield, Janetta and
husband, Ted Davis, Judy and husband, Junior Smith, all of the Fairview
community, Kathleen and husband, J.D. Burke of Oneida and Geneva and husband, Floyd
Hatfield, of Greentown, Ind.; three sisters, Violet Huddleston and Ruth Davis of
Clairfield, TN an Grace Noland of Sevierville, TN; twenty-one grandchildren,
Charlotte, Danny, Tammie, Brian, Randy, Katrina, Keith, Karen, Craig, Melissa,
Suzanne, Chad, Casey, Cyndi, Brittany, Amy, Christy, Jessica, Lori, Angie and
Randy; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; a very
special friend, Florence Byrd; many nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral
service will be conducted Wednesday, December 10, 2003 1:00 p.m. at Fairview
Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Guy Ainsworth and Rev. Michael Ray Jeffers
officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends
Tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home. Jones and Son
Funeral Home, Oneida, Tennessee in charge.

BURTON, PAULINE "POLLY'', age 86, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, December 7,
2003 at Briarcliff Health Care Center. She attended Clinton Church of God of
Prophecy. She retired from Y-12 Union Carbide as a Lab Technician. Preceded in
death by parents, Luther & Jessie Thornburg White. Born December 19, 1916 in
Lenoir City, Tennessee. SURVIVORS: Son, R.C. Burton & wife Barbara of Clinton;
Grandchildren; Kim Scattergood & husband Patrick of Clinton John F. Burton &
wife Becky of Atlanta, GA. Jamie Irons & husband Jimmie of Clinton. 4 Great
Grandchildren; Jeremiah, Jessica, Wesley & Madison; Nephew; Paul McFarland of
Greenville, TN. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, December
9, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the
chapel with Rev. Franklin Massengale officiating. The interment is 10:30 AM,
Wednesday, at Anderson Memorial Garden. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in
charge of all arrangements.

HICKS, RACHEL CATHERINE - age 76, of Oneida, Tennessee, formerly of Newcomb,
Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in
Knoxville, TN. Preceded in death by parents, Jonas and Sallie Hicks; brothers, Edgar
and Clyde W. Hicks; sisters, Alice and Ethel Hicks and Etta Jeffers.
Survivors: sisters, Eva Jeffers of Newcomb, TN, , Effie Allen and Glen of Oneida, TN;
special friend, Rachel Allred of Pioneer, TN. The funeral service will be held
7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in
Jellico, Rev. Steve Morgan, Everett Jeffers and Jim Griffith officiating. Burial
will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at Douglas Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Llewellyn Funeral Home of
Jellico, in charge of arrangements.

KING, CAROLYN SUE MCGHEE - July 27, 1940 to December 7, 2003. Born in Lake
City to Clifford and Blanche McGhee. Survived by: son, Paul Erin King of
Nashville: mother Blanche McGhee Duncan of Lake City and Nashville: brother Jack
McGhee in Nashville: aunts Grace Grissom, Gladys Tallent, and Maude Glasscock: and
uncle Rev. M.B. Gass. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 10,
2003, 2:30 p.m. at the Woodlawn Chapel of Roses. Interment will follow in
Woodlawn Memorial Park. Friends received Tuesday 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Woodlawn
Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane 383-4754. A Dignity Memorial Provider.

MONDAY, JERRY ALLEN - age 55, of LaFollette, passed away Friday, December 5,
2003 at his home. He was a member of Coolidge First Baptist Church. Jerry had
been with WLAF Radio for 18 years. Preceded in death by parents, Clayton and
Nell (Miller) Monday. Survivors: daughters, Jennifer and husband, Mike Newman,
of Knoxville and Becky Braden of Powell; grandchildren, Jordon, Taylor, Sam,
Eli and Gavin; brother, Clarence Monday and wife, Deloris, of LaFollette. The
funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Cross Funeral
Home, Rev. Ronnie Arnold and Rev. Leonard Dabney officiating. Interment will be
11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Powell Valley Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral service. Cross Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.

STEWART, HELEN GAMBLE - age 64, of Kingston and a former resident of Athens,
passed away Sunday morning in a Kingston nursing home. She was a native of
Anderson County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Naomi
Waddle Gamble. Preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Stewart, a former McMinn
County manager. She was a member of Chapman Grove Baptist Church of Kingston,
TN. Survivors: one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jerry Elder of Newport
News, VA; two sons, Lowell Tom Stewart, Jr. and Jeffrey Stewart, both of Lenoir
City; three granddaughters, Christina and Kathleen Elder and Lindsey Stewart;
three grandsons, Joshua and Justin Stewart and Gregory Elder; one sister,
Linda Carr of Kingston, TN; two brothers, Harold Gamble of Kingsland, GA and
Terry Gamble of Knoxville, TN. There will be a graveside service 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Pete Mullins officiating. The body will
lie in state at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday where the family
will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and
nephews. Jerry Smith Funeral Home is serving the family of Helen Gamble Stewart.
