Clowis Brown, 64, LaFollette, died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at St. Mary's
Medical Center of Campbell County.
He was employed by the White Company Machine Shop. He loved mowing lawns, car
racing and ball games.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Cassie Mae Mefford Brown;
Dicie Lowe that raised Clowis and a sister, Doris Brown.
Clowis is survived by his wife, Mary Brown, LaFollette; step-son, Michael
Longmire; step-daughter, Michelle Williams, both of LaFollette; sister-in-law,
Connie Miller, brother-in-law, Ricky Miller, both of Ga.; step-grandchildren,
Victoria and Anbrigette Williams, Dillon and Taylor Longmire, all of LaFollette;
cousins, Junior and Tim Mefford, Howard and McCoy Tackett; several nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Friday, November 28 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson
Funeral Home with Minster Tim Mefford officiating.
Interment was Saturday, November 29 in Turley Cemetery.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Lena Cotner, 74, Williamsburg, Ky. died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at Jellico
Community Hospital.
She is survived by four sons, James E. Caddell, Memphis, Gerald W. Cotner,
Larry F. Cotner, both of Williamsburg, Ky., Thomas C. Cotner, Pa.; one daughter,
Sandra S. Chambers, Williamsburg, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gerald Caddell, Biloxi, Miss., Raymond Caddell, Ok., Bob
Caddell, Charles Caddell, both of Williamsburg, Ky; four sisters, Marie
Sweeney, Jellico, Shirley Bray, Virgie Silcox, Valda Sue Wilson; all of
Williamsburg, Ky.
Funeral services were Saturday, November 29 at Mountain Ash Community Church
with Reverends, Robert Caddell and Billy Joe Lowe officiating.
Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of the arrangements.
Mable Dupee, 86, Jellico, died Monday, November 24, 2003 at her home.
She was a member of Kentucky Hill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Maude Bell; husband,
Lawrence Dupee.
Mable is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ruth Partin and
husband, Gene, Port Orange, Fl., Joann Partin and husband, Rev. Willie Partin,
Jellico; and a daughter she raised as her own, Ruth Minton Collins, Jellico; five
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Earnest Bell, LaFollette.
Funeral services were Wednesday, November 26 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Roger Stanley officiating.
Burial was in Douglas Cemetery.

Elbert "Bunk" Ayers, 83, Caryville, died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at the
Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Ayers loved
to talk to his friends and family very much and was a retired coalminer. He
was preceded in death by his son, Charles Monroe Ayers; parents, Benjamin and
Mary Gibson Ayers; first wife Alma. Elbert is survived by his wife, Nadine
Ayers, Caryville; daughter, Judy Wilson, LaFollette; step-sons, Donald Wayne
Lawson, Caryville, Donald Walden, Cincinnati, Oh.; grandchildren, Darin and David
Wilson; sister, Florie Ayers; several nieces and nephews and a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral services were Thursday, November 27 in the Chapel
of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Reverends Andrew Ayers and Steve Elkins
officiating. Interment was Friday, November 28 in Evans Cemetery. Martin Wilson
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
