ERWIN, W. GEORGE - age 62 of Kingston, passed away Thursday November 20, 2003
at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Luminary United
Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. and
Eloise Erwin. Survivors include his wife, Julie; his children, Bill, Scott, and
Tracy; his grandchildren, George, Drew, "Bubba", and Madeline; his brother,
Sherwood Max; and his mother in law, Mary Lumpkin. He was born March 12, 1941 in
Alexander City, Ala., but grew up in Oak Ridge. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge
High School class of 1959 and the University of Tennessee, class of 1964. He
served as an Army Infantry officer from 1964-1966. He retired to Tennessee in
1998 after 32 years in the plastic bottling industry. The family will receive
friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday November 22, 2003 at Kyker Funeral Home in
Kingston with funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. in the Kyker Chapel. Rev. Bill
Duncan will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests
donations be made to either Gilda's Club Chicago, 537 North Wells, Chicago, IL. 60601
or the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Rd. Knoxville, Tenn. 37909.

MAUNEY, EUGENE E. - age 75 of Powell, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2003
at his home. Eugene retired from Y12 after 45 years of service. He loved
kids, gardening, & baseball. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Mauney;
daughters & sons ion law, Paula & Mike Aethranis and Linda & Ray Pate;
grandchildren, Jason Pate and Brittany Aethranis; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews,
aunts, & uncles. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Weaver's
Chapel with the service to follow at 8 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 9:15
a.m. Saturday at Weaver's to proceed to Oak Ridge Memorial Park for a 10 a.m.
graveside service. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home, 5815 Western Ave.

NORTH, ALLEN ALVIN, JR. - age 101, of LaFollette, passed away Thursday,
November 20, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of
First Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, Mass. Mr. North was retired Operating
Engineer with Dayton Power and Light with 20 years and Richmond Power and
Light (Indiana) with 15 years. As a young man, living in Darke County, Ohio, he
was an acquaintance of Annie Oakley. Preceded in death by wife, Bertha and son,
Armond Alvin North. Survivors: daughters, Carmen and Rusty Shultz, LaFollette,
Noelle and Richard White, Bartlesville, Okla.; 7 grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren. At Mr. North's request, no service is planned. Interment will be
in Centerville, Ind. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.

POLING, LLOIS - age 79 of Clinton, formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida,
passed away Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Windwood Health Care Center. She was of
the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Navy. Her hobby was
playing golf. Preceded in death by parents, Harlan & Frankie Brown Dugan; husband
of 55 years, Robert G. Poling. Survivors: son, Steven Poling & wife, Sandra of
Clinton; grandchildren, Jessica Pittman of Clinton, Robert Poling of Clinton,
Elizabeth Poling of Morristown, Rebekah Carpenter of Morristown; great
grandchildren, Sydney & Victoria Poling, Tia Davis, Karlee & Kortnee Carpenter. The
family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2003 at Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home. The graveside service will be private. Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements.

VOYLES, REV. BOB - age 71 of LaFollette, passed away Wednesday, November 19,
2003 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of
the Indian Mound Baptist Church. Bob was a loving father, grandfather and great
grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also
enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was an avid church goer and loved the Lord very
much. He was preceded in death by wife, Wanda J. Voyles; daughter, Susan
Voyles; parents, Pascal and Flossie Branham Voyles; and sister, Bertha Davies. Mr.
Voyles is survived by sons and daughters in law, Robert and Gail Voyles and
Jerry and Pat Voyles; daughter and son in law, Linda and Danny Orick all of
LaFollette; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Edgar Voyles of
Morley; sisters, Addie Mac Turner and Elnora Templeton both of Rome, Ga.;
several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral
services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 22 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson
Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Wilson and Rev. Glen McNeely officiating. Interment will
be in Grantsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
Friday at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of
the arrangements.
