CLAIBORNE, MR. CLAUDE A. (BUDDY) JR. - age 70 of LaFollette,
GRIFFITH, LEOLA AHLER - of Oak Ridge,
SMITH, CLAYTON JAMES - age 17, a resident of the Oliver Springs

CLAIBORNE, MR. CLAUDE A. (BUDDY) JR. - age 70 of LaFollette, passed away
Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at his home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a
member of the Harrogate United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by:
his parents, Claude A. Claiborne, Sr., and Sara Jones Claiborne. Survivors:
daughters, Angela Renee Bisceglia and husband Kevin J. Bisceglia of Middlesboro,
Ky., Judith Pelot and husband Reuben N. Pelot IV of Knoxville; five
grandchildren, Claiborne J. Bisceglia, Andrea Hope Bisceglia, Sara Grace Pelot, Amanda
Hope Pelot, and Julia Faith Pelot; sister, Suzanne Claiborne Fox of Knoxville;
several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family and
friends will meet for graveside services Sunday 2 p.m. Fincastle Cemetery with
Rev. Paul David Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8
p.m. Saturday at Walters Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of
flowers, memorials be sent to the Campbell County Historical Society, 235 East
Central Avenue, LaFollette, Tennessee, 37766. Walters Funeral Home of
LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Claude A. Buddy Claiborne, Jr.
GRIFFITH, LEOLA AHLER - of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at her
home. Member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband,
Thomas Griffith and parents, Gustave and Queen Ahler. Survived by nephew, Bill
Milsap and his wife Henrietta of Chattanooga and several cousins and a host of
friends. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at
1:00pm at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Herbert Lee officiating. Memorials
may be made to Woodland Park Baptist Church, 200 Manhattan Avenue, Oak Ridge,
TN 37830. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00pm at
Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge. (www.weatherfordmortuary.com)
SMITH, CLAYTON JAMES - age 17, a resident of the Oliver Springs area, passed
away Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at the home of his mother in Oak Ridge.
Clayton was born March 5, 1986 in Knoxville. He was an Oliver Springs High School
senior. He attended the fellowship of Christian Athletics meetings and the
Bible Club meetings at school. Clayton was very popular with the student body,
and was selected Mr. Valentine of 2003. As a freshman, Clayton traveled to
Europe with a teacher Gary Patterson and fellow students. He was an Oliver Springs
Bobcats fan and attended high school sports activities. Clayton was preceded
in death by his maternal grandmother Brenda Hayes, by maternal step
grandfather, William J. Bryan Hayes, by his paternal grandfather, J. Allen Smith and by
his paternal step grandfather, Charles Brown. Survivors: mother, Donna Forstrom
and husband, Jon of Oak Ridge; father, James Allen Smith and wife, Kimberly
of Oliver Springs; half sister, Ashley Bray of Oliver Springs; step brothers,
Lucas Forstrom of Oak Ridge, Jake Forstrom of Oak Ridge; paternal grandmother,
Betty Brown of Crossville; maternal great grandmother, Hazel Cox of Harriman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 8 p.m. in the
chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Richard Powlus officiating. The family will
receive friends Saturday, between the hours of 5-8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home.
Burial and graveside services will be held Sunday, November 16, 2003 at 2 p.m.
at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.
