I am looking for info re: the 1944 Troop Train Wreck. My mother has talked
about it several times over the years. She was a young girl at the time but
she remembers the incident. She, her parents (James & Rebecca Garner) and
brothers were living in Jellico at the time. Her brothers worked the crash
scene
and many soldiers with only minor injuries stayed with them. She said that
the
incident did not hit the radio or newspaper.
Any info would be appreciated.
