Bobby J. Leffew, 65, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at Methodist
Medical Center of Oak Ridge following a lengthy illness.
He was the son of Ronald and Lena Bell Leffew, both now deceased. Mr. Leffew
was a Baptist and his family said he enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music.
According to his family, Mr. Leffew self-taught himself to play guitar by ear.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Davis
Leffew; two sisters, Betty Jo Stubbs and Nel Mae Bailey; and by one nephew,
Ronnie Stubbs.
Mr. Leffew is survived by two brothers, Bill Leffew and wife, Carol, of Oak
Ridge, and Jim Leffew and wife, Phyllis, of Clinton; a brother-in-law, Kenneth
Stubbs and wife, Neva, of Rockwood; and by several nieces and nephews, who
referred to him as Uncle Bob.
The Rev. Curtis Nolan is considered a special friend.
A graveside service was Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church
cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Stubbs, the Rev. Curtis Nolan and the Rev.
Garvan Walls officiating.
Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge of arrangements.
Mattie A. Lively, 77, of Oliver Springs, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at
Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born Nov. 15, 1925, in Oliver Springs, she was the daughter of Mitchell Buck
and Ethel Key Buck.
Mrs. Lively was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of Beech
Park Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe
Lively; a son, Daniel H. Lively; two brothers, Harlan Buck and Glenn Buck; and
by a sister, Maxine Buck.
Mrs. Lively is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Duggins and husband, Bruce,
of Oliver Springs, and Deborah Parks and husband, Roger, of Caryville; six
grandchildren, Wayne Duggins and wife, Lorie, and Keith Duggins and wife, Lisa,
all of Oliver Springs, Michael Duggins and wife, Tonya, Dennis Duggins and
wife, Rochelle, and Cristy Carter and husband, Bryan, all of Cleveland, and
Kimmie Jarnagan and husband, Matt, of Harriman; and by two brothers, Ervin Buck and
Sherrill Buck, both of Clinton.
A graveside service was to be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Anderson
Memorial Gardens on Oliver Springs Highway.
The funeral was Sunday, Oct. 19, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in
Oliver Springs with the Rev. Garvan Walls and the Rev. T.D. Hooker officiating.
Lillard Lee Keeney, 90, of Clinton, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at Baptist
Health Care Center in Lenoir City.
He was the son of C.J. and Elizabeth Fraker Keeney. He was a member of St.
Marks United Methodist Church in Clinton. Mr. Keeney worked at Magnet Mills in
Clinton, and in later years worked full and part time at Holley-Gamble Funeral
Home for approximately 35 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna
Lucille Stooksbury Keeney; two brothers, Hobert Keeney and Hubert Keeney; and by a
sister, Blanche Vandergriff.
Mr. Keeney is survived by two daughters, June Keeney Smith and husband, John,
of Pikeville, and Gale Keeney Stair and husband, Ronnie, of El Paso, Texas;
his son, Dale Keeney and wife, Dottie, of Lenoir City; eight grandchildren,
Steve Keeney, Derek Keeney, Crystal Hall, Jonathan Smith, Suzanna Ellis, Sherry
Brown, Ryan Harvey and Dana Bennett; 13 great-grandchildren; and by several
nieces and nephews.
Edith Wilson of Clinton is considered a special friend.
The funeral was to be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in the chapel of
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. John Smith officiating.
Burial was to follow at Norris Memorial Garden.
Nell McManus Weatherford, 80, of Hamlet, N.C., died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at
her home.
Born Dec. 4, 1922, in McBee, S.C., in Chesterfield County, she was the
daughter of Paul McManus and Ethel Small McManus.
Mrs. Weatherford was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church
in Hamlet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George
Monroe Weatherford.
Mrs. Weatherford is survived by two daughters, Carol Keziah of Oak Ridge, and
Kathy Saunders and husband, Jimmie, of Hamlet; four grandchildren, Mica
Edenfield of Oak Ridge, Chris Keziah of Knoxville, Amanda Walters of Hamlet and
Jason Saunders of Garden City Beach, S.C.; and by five great-grandchildren.
The funeral was to be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Calvary Baptist
Church in Hamlet with the Rev. Scott Conner and the Rev. Eugene McNair
officiating.
Burial was to follow at Richmond Memorial Park in Rockingham, N.C.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to

Church, 406 McDonald Ave., Hamlet, NC 28345.

Raymond Lee Pollard, 61, of Knoxville, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003.
His family said he was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather. Mr.
Pollard was a member of First Baptist Concord. He was employed at the Y-12
Plant in Oak Ridge for 24 years. According to his family, his interests were his
family, gardening, photography, genealogy, outdoors, amateur radio, computers
and music. He served for six years in the Air National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lottie Elrod Pollard;
and by his stepfather, Taylor Watson.
Mr. Pollard is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Pollard; two sons,
Greg Pollard and wife, Tracey, of Huntsville, Ala., and Conley Orick and wife,
Sonja, of Kingston; two daughters, Kristi Rightmyer and husband, Brad, and Tina
Vest and husband, Danny, all of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Daniel Vest,
Ryan Orick, Brady Orick, David Pollard and Jason Pollard; a sister, Charlotte
Loposser and husband, Jim, of Lenoir City; a stepbrother, Bobby Watson; a
stepsister, Shirley Heriegel; two cousins, Joyce Trottie and Merrie Irene Harrell;
and by several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in the chapel of First
Baptist Concord with the Rev. Steve Peek officiating.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Oak Ridge
Memorial Park. Greg Pollard, Conley Orick, Danny Vest, Daniel Vest, Brad Rightmyer,
Eric Drake, Ralph Adkins and Daryl Adkins will serve as pallbearers. Ryan Orick
and Brady Orick will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Monday at the church.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to St.
Mary's Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938.

Margaret Reynolds Wrasman, 74, of Andersonville, died Saturday, Oct. 18,
2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
She was the daughter of Lawrence and Laura Elliott. A member of Redhill
Baptist Church, in later years Mrs. Wrasman attended St. Therese Catholic Church in
Clinton. She was a member of Clinton American Association of Retired Persons
and a water exercise instructor at the Clinton Civic Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Kyle Reynolds, and by a brother, Kenneth Elliott.
Mrs. Wrasman is survived by three sons, Steve Reynolds and wife, Felecia, of
Clinton, and Dennis Reynolds and wife, Melissa, and Stanley Reynolds and wife,
Debbie, all of Andersonville; and by 10 grandchildren, Stephenie Reynolds,
Joshua Reynolds, Tegan McRae, Elliot Reynolds, Sheena Reynolds, Kyla Reynolds,
Kiefer Reynolds, Keenan Reynolds, Kyle Reynolds and Kristopher Reynolds.
She is also survived by four stepsons, Gene Wrasman and wife, Judy, of
Nashville, Bill Wrasman and wife, Debbie, of Cookeville, Don Wrasman and wife,
Denise, of Clinton and Bernard Wrasman and wife, Becky, of Hendersonville; two
stepdaughters, Ruth Harrison of Merritt Island, Fla., and Beth Bailey and husband,
Benny, of Clinton; eight stepgrandchildren, Aaron Wrasman and wife,
Stephanie, Tonia Wrasman, Brian Harrison, Claire Harrison, Lawrance Wilson, Danielle
Wrasman, Philip Wrasman, Andy Wrasman and Jenny Wrasman; three sisters, Marry
Webber and husband, Terry, and Bessie Seeber and husband, Dennis, all of
Clinton, and Barbara Deal and husband, LaMar, of Andersonville; and by several nieces
and nephews.
The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, in the chapel of
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Gerard Finucane officiating.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Redhill Baptist Church
cemetery. Joe Wallace, Clyde Elliott, Kevin Seeber, Guy Seeber, Terry Webber, Greg
Webber, Harley Stooksbury and Carles Hall will serve as pallbearers.

Jimmy Lee Seiber, 63, of Clinton, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at Methodist
Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born Dec. 19, 1939, in Devonia, he was the son of Walter and Juanita Phillips
Seiber, both now deceased.
Mr. Seiber was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired carpenter
and a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice
Seiber; a grandson, Lawrence Seiber Jr.; and by a sister, Cathy Odessa Freels.
Mr. Seiber is survived by his daughter, Tina Vanee Sammons and husband,
Terry, of Sunbright; four sons, Elder Jimmy Ray Seiber and wife, Theresa, of
Knoxville, Lawrence Seiber and wife, Rhonda, of Clinton, and LeRoy Seiber and wife,
Tammy, and Franklin John Seiber, all of Oliver Springs; and by 12
grandchildren, Jimmy Dewayne Seiber, Jason Harold Seiber, Carrie Seiber, Christopher
Ferguson, Codie Allen Seiber, Ashley Grace Seiber, Alex Lawrence Seiber, Dylan Troy
Lee Seiber, Kyler Seiber, Paula Odessa Sammons, Sean Drake Sammons and Kevin
Jett.
He is also survived by a sister, Wanda Fritts and husband, Oscar, of Oliver
Springs; and by six brothers, Freddie Joe Seiber and wife, Barbara, the Rev.
Steve Seiber and wife, Susie, Dale Seiber and wife, Cathy, Walter Jay Seiber and
wife, Bridgette, and Benny Seiber and wife, Kathy, all of Oliver Springs, and
Mitchell Seiber of Harriman.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, in the chapel of Sharp
Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with Roger Buck and Chester Keathley, both
elders, officiating.
Burial will follow at the Seiber Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the
funeral home.
Julia Lowe Butler, 77, of Kingston, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at the
University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Weatherford Mortuary is in
charge of arrangements, which were incomplete at press time.
Edwin Phares, 85, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Briarcliff
Health Care Center. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements,
which were incomplete at press time.
Ernest Richard Watkins, 90, of Harriman, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, at his
home. Scarbrough Funeral Home in Rockwood is in charge of arrangements.
