DOZLER, MRS. KAREN - age 57, of Oliver Springs, formerly of Maynardville,
passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003, at her home. Funeral arrangements are
incomplete and will be announced later by Ailor Mortuary, Maynardville. Our obit
line is 865 992-1114.
LAWSON, DELLA - age 75, of 303 Hollifield Dr., Jacksboro, passed away
Saturday, September 20, 2003, at the St. Mary's Health & Rehab. of Campbell County.
She was a member of the Jacksboro Church of Christ. Mrs. Lawson loved quilting
and making dolls, and was a former girl scout leader. Preceded in death by
husband, John Parks Lawson; parents, Thomas and Minerva Sutton McGhee; brother,
Lincoln McGhee. Survivors: son, Bobby Ray Lawson of Jacksboro; sons and
daughters-in-law, Gary and Donna Lawson of LaFollette, Michael and Jackie Lawson of
Knoxville; daughters and son- in-law, Sue Sakrison of Knoxville, Jean Lawson of
Nashville, Deborah and Mark Walter of Oak Ridge, Rebecca Jane and Mike Aiken
of Lafollette; grandchildren, April Dawn Sakrison, Douglas Lawson, Mark and
Sara Walter, Cory and Katie Lawson, Heather and Molly Aiken; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Ben and Julia McGhee of Jacksboro, Charles and Faye McGhee of
Caryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nina and Thomas Ballard of Ohio, Mary Ruth
and MaKinley Brown of Florida, Thelma June and Bill Walker of Alabama, several
nieces, nephews. and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral 3 p.m. Tuesday,
Martin Wilson Chapel with Ministers, Tommy Robertson and Mike Aiken
officiating. Interment to follow at Marlow Cemetery, Caryville. The family will receive
friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Martin Wilson Funeral Home, LaFollette.
LAY, MRS. ELETTA (TOMMIE) - age 93, of LaFollette, formerly of Knoxville,
passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003, at St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation
Center of Campbell County. She was born September 28, 1909. She was a member of
Washington Pike United Methodist Church in Knoxville, and was preceded in
death by husband, Carmie Lay; parents, John Davis and Mary Wright Davis; sister,
Jessie Seiber Gibson, and brother, Marvin Davis. Survivors: niece and nephew,
Billie and Tom Leach of LaFollette; nephew, J. L. Seiber of Kenosha,
Wisconsin; several great nieces and nephews, and special sister-in-law, Alice McGinnis
of Largo, Fla. Funeral services Tuesday, 12 Noon at Walters Chapel with Rev.
Danny King officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Highland Memorial
Cemetery in Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon
Tuesday before services at Walters Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home, of
LaFollette, is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Eletta (Tommie) Lay.
