I am sorry for butting in, but this is an interesting conversation.

My ggg grandfather was Samuel Baker. He is listed as administrating Davis
Hatfield's will on June 5, 1865.

My question is.

Were there any Bakers married into the Hatfield family?

My family is from Greene County, Indiana.

There was alarge Hatfield family in Owensberg, Greene County, Indiana.

There was:
From Campbell County, Tn, in 1830.

Emmanuel
Armistead
Washington
Ale
Jeremiah

My father always said that the Hatfield family was related "way back".

Any way the name Hatfield is a great, historic family of pioneers.

If you are interested, I have a great photograph of Emmanuel and Armistead
about 1885, that I would be glad to send you.
