HUTCHISON, THURMAN GLEN - age 55 of Andersonville, passed away June 14, 2003
at Oak Ridge Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by
parents, Gertie & Carson Hutchison; brother, Bratcher Hutchison. Surviviors:
sisters, Mackle Lue Hutchison, Beulah Mae McGill; brothers, Clifford, R. L.,
Claude, Carl, and Kenny Hutchison. Service 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Mynatt's Chapel
with Reverend Lowell Elkins and Reverend Clyde Gray officiating. Family and
friends will meet at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Hutchison Cemetery for interment.

ROSENBERG, MR. RICHARD ERWIN - age 78, of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday, June
15, 2003, at Life Care Center in Wartburg. He was the husband of Judith
Rosenberg. Memorial service will be conducted at Faith Lutheran Church, Oak Ridge,
5:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2003, with Rev. James Evers officiating. The family
will receive friends from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the church. Martin Oak Ridge
Funeral Home, in charge of arrangements.
SUMMERS, MRS. BETTY CHAPMAN - began rejoicing in Heaven, Sunday, June 15,
2003. As she made the move from her earthly home in Oakdale, Tenn., to her
heavenly home, Betty, the daughter of Albert and Rosa Chapman, was born and raised
in the Camp Austin Community of Oakdale. She taught school for one year before
marrying Frank Summers of Oakdale on July 19, 1947. Betty worked at Burlington
Hosiery in Harriman for 18 years until rheumatoid arthritis disabled her. She
was a devout Christian and member of White Oak Baptist Church, where she
served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher and choir member until she was no
longer able to attend. Betty loved to garden, work in her flowers and quilt. When
she could no longer do these things she continued to be an avid reader and
work crossword puzzles. Besides he parents, she was preceded in death by her
sister, Faye Chapman; half sisters, Julie Cagle, Mary Taylor, Georgia Langley and
Ruby Ooten. She was also preceded by brothers, A. B. and Russell; half
brothers, Ed. Harry, and John. Betty is survived by her husband, Frank; one daughter
and son-in-law, Karen and Steve Kittrell of Oakdale; three grandsons and
wives, Chris and Tami of Knoxville, Jason and Robin, and Josh of Oakdale. She is
also survived by four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Sydney, Madeline and
Darren.; sisters, Robbie Headrick and Lucille Ball of Knoxville; brothers, L. E. and
wife, Frances of Knoxville, Dalton and wife Alice of Rockwood. Funeral
services Wednesday, June 18, 2003, 2 p.m. Schubert Funeral Home Chapel, Wartburg with
Rev. Bill Young and Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in the
Pine Orchard Cemetery, Oakdale. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June
17, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.
SOUTHERN, NANCY ANN McGINNIS - age 47, of Oak Ridge, died at her home on
Friday, June 13, 2003. Born in Oak Ridge to parents,
Roger Lee and Reba Lou Monteith McGinnis on September 10, 1955. A member of
Central Baptist Church, Oak Ridge. Nancy most recently worked as a case manager
with the Department of Human Services after dedicating many years to Emory
Valley Center. Preceded in death by father, Roger Lee McGinnis, 11-8-2000.
Survivors include mother, Reba Monteith McGinnis of Oak Ridge; husband, Robert R.
Southern of Oak Ridge; daughter, Ashley Southern, Cookeville, Tenn.; sister,
Pat Weeks and husband, J.W. of Oak Ridge; nieces, Kara and Kelly Weeks and
Jessica Southern of Oak Ridge; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hollis and Ann
Southern of Oak Ridge; brother-in-law, James Southern of Oak Ridge. A memorial
service will be held in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary on Tuesday evening, 8
p.m. with Rev. Bob Gray officiating. The family requests that memorials be
made to the Emory Valley Center, 715 Emory Valley Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The
family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.
