BRACKETT, LAMAR EDWARD - age 63 of Harriman,
COX, WILLIAM F. "BILL" - age 68, of Heiskell,
MONEYMAKER, ETHEL MAE - age 89, of Clinton,

BRACKETT, LAMAR EDWARD - age 63 of Harriman, formerly of Lenoir City and
Tucson, Ariz. passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Methodist Medical Center of
Oak Ridge. He was a retired health caregiver. A veteran of the US Navy during
the Vietnam Era. Preceded in death by father, Roy Marcus Brackett; sister,
Wanda Brackett McGhee; and brother, Gary Lynn Brackett. Survived by mother, Odell
Brackett of Lenoir City; sisters, Willie Duncan, Joy McGinnis and husband,
Bill all of Lenoir City, Linda Jenkins and husband, Ray of Chattanooga, Patricia
Baker and Gail Silvey both of Lenoir City; brother, Ronnie Brackett of
Chattanooga; special friend, Peter Vandyke whom Lamar cared for and shared his home;
several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. A memorial service will be held 11
a.m. Friday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Latham
officiating. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is serving the family of Lamar Edward

COX, WILLIAM F. "BILL" - age 68, of Heiskell, passed away Tuesday, May 27,
2003. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Andersonville but attended
Island Home Baptist Church in Norris. He retired from Russell Pest Control. He
was a United States Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
Preceded in death by parents, Owen & Thelma Thacker Cox; brother, Jimmy Cox;
sister, Betty Silvey; father-in-law & mother- in-law, Rev. J. S. & Libby
Brooks; nephew, Tim Brooks and good friend, Gerald Whaley. Bill was born May 15,
1935 in Anderson County. Survivors: wife of 48 years, Thelma Brooks Cox of
Heiskell; daughter, Rhonda Lail of Heiskell; grandson, Ryan Lail of Heiskell;
brother, Owen Cox & wife, Dottie of Oliver Springs; brothers-in-law, Kyle Brooks &
wife, Cleo of Clinton, Joe Brooks & wife, Viola of Heiskell; sisters-in-law,
Imogene Hackler & husband, Lester of Knoxville, Lola Heck & husband, Frances of
Powell; several nieces & nephews; special friends, David Archer of Clinton,
Owenby sisters of Knoxville, Phyllis Wilson Cooper of Maynardville, Misty Irwin
of Halls. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 30,
2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following the
visitation in the chapel with Rev. Bud Tipton, Rev. Calvin Braden & Rev.
Kenneth Brooks officiating. Interment will be held 11:00 am, Saturday morning at
Norris Memorial Gardens with full military honors being conducted at gravesite.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandson & nephews. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home
of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.

MONEYMAKER, ETHEL MAE - age 89, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2003
at her residence. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was a former
employee of Magnet Hosiery Mills in Clinton. Preceded in death by husband,
Clyde Moneymaker; parents, Sam & Mary Bly Rhyne. Ethel was born September 23, 1913
in Blount County. Survivors: daughters, Sue Foster of Clinton, Mary Vowell of
Clinton; grandchildren, Michael & Allison Foster of LaFollette, Sherry &
Wayne Fox of Clinton, Lyndon & Angie Foster of Clinton, Tim & Kim Vowell of
LaFollette, Scott & Debbie Vowell of Clinton, Maria & Scott Loomis of Jacksboro; 11
great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends
6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in
Clinton. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday in the chapel with Rev.
Ernest Wright officiating. Interment will follow the service at Zion Cemetery.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
