His name was William Malon Smith and I noticed his Mother who was Elizabeth
Boyd had a brother by the name of Malon Boyd. So he must have been named
after her brother. I this is the first time I have seen Malon too. You may
want to research the Boyd line. Charles 'Charlie' Boyd married Mahala Suttle
Abt. 1840 in Campbell Co, TN. I have not gone back any further then this.
Charles and Mahala were Elizabeth's parents as well as parents to Malon Boyd.
