Janice Phillips
April 18,1994

Janice Phillips,67,died Monday in her home on New River
Highway,Briceville.She was born Sept.2,1995 in Anderson County
to the late Jake and Sabra Daugherty Phillips.A member of the New Pilot
Baptist Church,she also served as church clerk.
Mrs.Phillips enjoyed quilting and flowers and gardening.Her sosn,Don and
Moses I.Phillips Jr. and her parents preceded
her in death.Survivors include her husband,Moses I.Phillips,sons,Jackie
Phillips and Denny Ray Phillips both of Ligias Fork,
New River,grandchildren,Don Phillips Jr.,Sabra Lavene Phillips,Melissa Jan
Phillips,Jacob Ray Phillips,Jericka Cassie Phillips,
Jennifer Denise Phillips and Jared Moses Phillips,sister,Ella Mae Cochran of
Toledo,Ohio,Elsie Phillips of Clinton,
sisters-in-law,Kizzie Phillips of Clinton and Hester Phillips of
Knoxville,several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2p.m.Thursday in the New Pilot Baptist Church in New River
with the Rev.Oscar Patterson and the
Rev.David Byrge officiating.Burial will follow in Phillips Cemetery.The body
will lie in state one hour before the services.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
