April 23,1936

Mrs.Nancy Allred

Mrs.Nancy Allred,85,died Wednesday at 8p.m.at her home near Andersonville after a long illness.
Mrs.Allred had been a member of Mount Oliver Baptist church since girl hood.She is survived by
three children,William and Charles Allred of Andersonville, and Mrs.Callie Hale of Knoxville,
three step-children,Polk and Obbie Allred of Wallace Creek,KY.Mrs.N.J.Crowder of Knoxville,
one sister,Mrs.Gemima Graham of Andersonville.Funeral services were held Friday at 10a.m.at
Mt.Oliver Baptist vhurch in Anderson county.The Rev.B.S,Graham and the Rev.John Adcock officiated.
Burial was in Carden cemetery.Holly was in charge.

April 23,1936

Mrs.Hannah Ridenour,76, widow of Alex Ridenour,died Friday at 12:30 p.m. at her home near Heiskell.
She was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah Sharp Stooksburg.Surviving are five daughters,Mrs.Ethel Prater,
Mrs.Louisa Bowman and Misses.Isabells,Zora and Cora Lee Ridenour,four sons, Sherman, Wade,Amos,
and Sam Ridenour,seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.Funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m.
at Valley View Methodist church,with burial in the cemetery there.Holley Undertaking Co.was in charge.


April 6,1936

George Robinson

George Robinson, 29,died at a Knoxville hospital last Monday at 2:30 a.m.Mr.Robinson formerly lived on
the Oliver Springs Road near the railroad trestle.Surviving are:his father,Russell Robinson,his mother,Mrs.Verona Daugherty,
and step-father,Barton Daugherty.Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant View Baptist
Church with the Rev.Sam Spessard offciating.Burial was in the church cemetery.Wells Funeral Home was in charge.

Joe Gossett

Joe Gossett,70,died at his home near the Court House Tuesday at 4:15p.m..Mr.Gossett, better known as "Uncle Joe"
was the oldest member of First Baptist Church.He had been a member of the church longer than any other member,about 40 years.
He was a very devout church goer being present at most church meeting.surviving are one sister, Mrs.James Dew,and several neices
and nephews.Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.with the Rev.H.L.Smith officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Cemetery.Pallbearers were:Judge W.A.Brown,Judge J.H.Wallace,E.A.Hollingsworth,R.A.Smith, Luke Webber
and Benard Hoskins.Wells Funeral Home was in charge.

April 6,1936

Claude Bullock

Claude Bullock,8 months,died at the home of the parents,Mr.and Mrs.Lonzo Bullock,last Tuesday afternoon,
after a short illness.The family lived near Coal Creek.Surviving are;the parents,Mr.and Mrs.Bullock and four brothers,
and sisters.Funeral services were held last Wednesday at 1p.m. at the home with the Rev.H.L.Hutchins officiating.
Burial was in Bakers Ford Cemetery.Martin Funeral Home was in charge.

W.L. Snodderly

Mrs.M.L. Lambdin od Andersonville has received word that her brother,W.L. Snodderly,has died at
El Centro,Calif.Funeral services and burial were held in El Centro with the Spanish American War Verterans in charge.
Surviving are one sister,Mrs.Lambdin and one brother,J.D.Snodderly of Teaneck,N.J.
