Janice Gail Bailey, 50, of LaFollette died November 29th, 2002 at St. Mary's
Medical Center, Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Stanley Bailey; parents,
L.D. Chadwell and Ellen Clouse; Brother, Michael Chadwell.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by her sons, Mark and Kevin Bailey, LaFollette; three
granddaughters; brother, Robert Chadwell; sisters, Carolyn Murray and Vickie
Chavis both of LaFollette, Teresa Goins, Jacksboro, Deborah Adkisson and
Patricia Shelly, both of Knoxville, Brenda Chadwell and Talia Clouse, both of
Newport.
Funeral services were December 2nd at the Fincastle Church of God with
Reverends Audie Murray and Michael Smith officiating.
Interment was in Chadwell Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
Ralph Botts, 47, of Elk Valley died November 26th, 2002.
He is survived by his son, Waylon Botts, Pioneer; daughters, Brandy Botts and
Michelle Long both of Pioneer; four grandchildren; brothers, David Botts,
Capuchine, TN, Eugene Botts, KY; sisters, Judy Clark, LaFollette and Deonna
Fancher, KY.
Funeral services were December 1st at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with the
Reverend Jerry Yancey officiating.
Interment was in Baird Cemetery.
Juanita Byrd, 89, of Jacksboro died November 25th, 2002 at St. Mary's Medical
Center of Campbell County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ancil Byrd and sister, Evelyn Byrd.
Mrs. Byrd is survived by her daughters, Barbara Freytag, Cleveland, TN and
Jackie Gwin, Jacksboro; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters,
Vivian Gordon,Oak Ridge, Jane Flanders, SC; brother, Onva Hatfield, Knoxville.
Funeral services were November 27th at the Cross Chapel with Reverend Jim
Wilcox officiating.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Clara C. Hall, 86, of Greenville, TN died November 27th, 2002 at Laughlin
Memorial Hospital, Greenville, TN.
Burial was in Lot Cemetery.
Cox and Son Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Albert Ray Hatfield, 31, of Canton, GA died November 28th, 2002 at Winston
Baptist Hospital in Winston- Salem, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Lee Hatfield, Canton, NC; sons, Robert James
Hatfield and Anthony David Hatfield both of Canton, NC; mother, Olcie Marlow,
Jacksboro; father, Albert Hatfield, Clairfield; sister, Mary Helen Hatfield,
Jacksboro.
Funeral services were December 2nd at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with
Reverend Jimmy Bowman officiating.
Interment was in Rogerston Cemetery.
Mildred Opal Hatmaker, 82, of Lake City died November 30th, 2002 at her
residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fowler Hatmaker; parents,
John Howard and Mattie Mae Cox Hawkins; sister, Barbara Jean Hawkins;
brothers,Leon, Odeva, Loyal Eugene, Kenneth and John Hawkins, Jr..
Mrs. Hatmaker is survived by her daughter, Delores Ashba, Chardon, OH; son,
James Ronnie Hatmaker, Greenville, TN; sister, Pauline Hall, Mentor, OH; six
grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were December 3rd at Holley- Gamble Funeral Home with
Reverend Brian Courtney officiating.
Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Della Housley, 84, of Lincoln Park, MI died November 24th, 2002 in Warren, MI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Samuel Housley; parents,
Samuel and Etta Blankenship Bowman.
Mrs. Housley is survived by her sons, Ronald Housley, Warren, MI, Donald
Housley, Lincoln Park, MI and Michael Housley, Colombus, OH; eight
grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brother, Floyd S. Bowman and sister,
Bernice Lawson, Fairborn, OH.
Private graveside services and interment took place November 30th at
Jacksboro Cemetery.
Cross Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Preston W. Kirby, 77, of Caryville died November 28th , 2002 at St. Mary's
Medical Center of Campbell County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Carrie Kirby and grandson,
Preston Kirby III.
Mr. Kirby is survived by his wife, Lucille Kirby, Caryville; sons, Preston
Kirby II, Jacksboro, David Kirby, Caryville, David Carroll, Bryan, OH;
daughter, Wanda Sue McGhee, Caryville; five grandchildren; three
grandchildren; brothers, Roy Kirby, Knoxville, L.V. and Wesley Kirby,
LaFollette; sisters, Ollie Mae, AL, Tootsie Rutherford, Knoxville, Mary Jane
Meadows and Betty Justice, both of Wynn.
Graveside services were December 1st at Campbell Memorial Gardens with
Reverend Hobert McCreary officiating.
Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Edna Montana Guinn Large, 97, of LaFollette died November 29th, 2002 at St.
Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Andrew Billingsley and Howard Large.
son, Dick Large, daughter, Coleen Honas, parents, William Allen and Martha
Thomas Guinn; brothers, Charlie and Tom Guinn; sisters, Oneda Stamps and
Lucille Slusher.
Mrs. Large is survived by her sons, Samuel Billingsley, LaFollette, Jack
Billingsley, New Tazwell, Tom Large, Las Vegas, NV; 14 grandchildren; 22
great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were December 2nd in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home with Reverends Ralph Cordell and Ray Graham officiating.
Interment was in Duncan Cemetery.
Don McCullah, 61, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky died November 30th, 2002 at Dry
Ridge Personal Care.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Dorothy McCullah; brothers,
Matt and Roy McCullah.
Mr. McCullah is survived by his daughters, Kathy and Deidra; brother, Joe
McCullah, Erlanger, Ky..
Funeral services were December 3rd at the Standfield Church of God with
Reverend Delmus Bruce officiating.
Interment was in Melvin Cemetery.

Thomas M. Queener, 81, of Jacksboro died December 1st, 2002 at St. Mary's
Medical center of Campbell County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Laura Queener.
Mr. Quenner is survived by his wife, Gladys McGhee Queener, Jacksboro;
daughters, Nancy Starrett, LaFollette, Kathy Wilson, Jacksboro; sons, Tommy
Queener, Bill Queener, both of Jacksboro; sisters, Alma Brewer, Mary Ellen
Cain and Glenna Lay all of Jacksboro; six grandchildren.
Funeral services were December 3rd in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral
Home with Reverends Bobby Ray, Bill Hutson and Mike Smith officiating.
Interment was in Jacksboro Cemetery with Campbell County Honor Guard in
charge of services.
Roger Lee Shoffner, 58, LaFollette died November 29th, 2002 at St. Mary's
Medical Center Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Shoffner and brother, Terry
Shoffner.
Mr. Shoffner is survived by his mother, Mary Bunch Shoffner, brother, Edward
Shoffner, Itasca, Ill.; sisters, Doris, Cheryl, and Kathy Shoffner all of
Elmherst, Ill., Carolyn Shoffner, Addison, Ill and Wanda Chapman, Jacksboro.
Funeral services were December 1st at Cross Chapel with Reverend Carl Edwards
officiating.
Interment was in Bakers Forge Cemetery with Military Honors by the Campbell
County Honor Guard.
Grace W. Vinsant, 97, of Jacksboro died November 29th, 2002 at the St. Mary's
Medical Center of Campbell County.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Vinsant; daughter, Helen
Heatherly; grandson, John T. Heatherly; great great grandchild, Sidney Logan
Dill; brothers, W.M., E.E. , Horace and Ed Weaver; sisters, Mazie Shoun and
Sarah Phillips.
Mrs. Vinsant is survived by two grandchildren, four great grandchildren;
eight great great grandchildren; sister, Ester Ridenour, Rockford, TN..
Funeral services were December 2nd at the Martin Wilson Chapel with Reverends
David Hicks and Leonard Dabney officiating.
Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
