Hello,
I am trying to find more information on my great grandparents'
families. Elsie Jordan married James (Jim) Wilson, January 15, 1916.
Elsie's parents were John Jordan and Mary Bell Gibson, and Jim's parents were
Mack Wilson and Jane Cooper (unsure). After searching the 1880 and 1900
census', I found two different people listed under Mack's parents (Mack and
Levi). Both Mack and Levi had the same birthdates, so I'm guessing that
Mack's real name was Levi, and Mack was a nickname. After John Jordan passed
away, Mary Bell Gibson married John's brother James. John's brother Media
married Mossie Wilson (Jim's sister). Elsie's sister, Mollie married Jim's
brother, Albert. (That is the extensive information.)
Children of John Jordan and Mary Bell Gibson:
Elsie, Mollie, Rachel, Lassie and Leonard (Rachel and Leonard
may have been Mary Bell and Jim Jordan's children.)
Children of Jim Jordan and Mary Bell Gibson:
Willard, Tommy, Lola and Pearl Dora.
Children of Levi (Mack) Wilson and Jane (Cooper?):
Albert, Mossie, James (Jim), possibly more.
John Jordan's (b. about 1871) parents were William A. Jordan (born
about 838) and Rebecca Lawson (b. Jan. 1839). Mary Bell Gibson's (B. March
1871) parents were George Gibson (b. abt. 1842) and Sarah Hicks (b. abt.
1845). Levi (Mack) Wilson's (b. 1867) parents were Jerry Wilson (b.
abt.1838) and Parasidia (b. abt. 1841) (maiden name unknown). If Jane's (b.
1867) maiden name was Cooper, then her parents were Eli Cooper (b. abt.
1824)and Elizabeth (b. abt. 1833) (maiden name Unknown).
I will be happy to share what information I have. Thank you for your time.
Nancy Carroll
