Andrea,
Thanks for your response to my query about Marlows in KY. Very
interesting story about your Thomas C. Marlow. I wish I had more
folklore like that.

There are a few Marlow families that I know of. My queries to
these lists have been attempts to identify whether there were
other distinct Marlow families in Campbell county in 1850/1860.
Your help is appreciated.

This is what I know so far:

1. Thomas Marlow m. (1) Elizabeth? m. (2) Profanes White of
Beech Fork, TN
This family was in Anderson Co in 1850 and then I believed the
county line moved and they were in Campbell. They lived in the
Beech Fork area (southwestern Campbell Co).

2. Thomas Marlow m. Elizabeth of Whitley Co, KY (Andrea -- I
think this is your Thomas Marlow m. Elizabeth Hill?)
In Campbell Co in 1850 then in Whitley Co in 1860. I don't know
in what part of Campbell Co they were located but I have ordered
the microfilm that gives the desciptions of the enumeration
districts, so I hope to identify this.

3. Banner Marlow family of White Oak, TN
A long time ago I copied some pages from Page's _Clearfork and
More_ which included the genealogy of the Banner Marlow family,
submitted by Robert Marlowe. This family was first in Claiborne
county, then in Campbell County (it is not clear from the
article whether they moved or whether the county lines moved
while they were there). They lived near White Oak, TN, which is
within the area Page identifies as the Clearfork region. That
area also includes part of southern KY. There is a Thomas C.
Marlow in that family, too (b. 1862 d. after 1910) m. Lucinda
York m. 2 Rosa Bell Main. The article includes mostly names and
dates and not a lot of places. Robert Marlowe included contact
information in the book: 121 Orchard Lane, Oak Ridge, TN 37830,
if anyone wants to contact him about his family.

For those interested: You could probably get a copy of the book
section by using interlibrary loan. The citation is: Marlowe,
Robert. "The Banner Marlow Family" in _Clearfork and More_ by
Bonnie M. Page, 158-163. Clinton, TN: Clinton Courier News,
1986. Or try ordering the entire book through ILL.
