BUNCH, GERTIE LEE NELSON - age 68, of Friendsville, passed away Sunday
morning, September 15, 2002, at U. T. Medical Center, Knoxville. Member of
Hickory Valley Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Edgar Nelson;
mother, Lassie Riggs; sisters, Ellie Bunch and Clella Garland. Survivors:
husband, George H. Bunch; son, Tom E. Bunch of Maryville; daughters and
sons-in-law, Georgia and C. M. Best of Maryville, and Gail and Mike Hedrick
of Maryville; grandchildren, Daniel Best, Shelley Best, Chris Bunch, April
Bunch, Holly Hedrick and Chase Hedrick; sisters, Monnie Bullard of Maryville,
and Arizona Foust of Maryville; brother, Ernest Riggs of Maryville, and
several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17,
2002, Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Charles Carpenter officiating.
Family and friends will meet at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery,
(Longhollow Community), at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning for the interment
service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

HOPE, ROGER LEE - age 53 of 921 Hilltop Dr. Jacksboro, passed away Monday
September 16, 2002 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell Co. He was a
member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksboro. Roger was a loving person
who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoy UT
football and all other sports. He was cared for by his special parents, the
late Wheeler Ridenour and Elizabeth Hope Ridenour. Preceded in death by
father, Robert M. Hope; special parents, Wheeler and Elizabeth Hope Ridenour;
special brother, Keith Ridenour; grandparents, Jordan and Georgia Ivey Hope;
uncles, James, William and John Hope. Survived by brothers, Robert P., Jordan
L., and John P. Hope of George Town, Ky., Terry and Reid Hope of Cynthia,
Ky.; sisters, Marsha Green of Hermitage Springs, Tenn., Sheila Lehman and
Sandy Newby of Cynthia, Ky.; aunts and uncles, Frankie Hope and Philip Cox of
Morristown, Edward "Pete" Hope and Pat Hope of Akens, SC; special aunt,
Evelyn Hope of Jacksboro; special friend, Loretta Smith of Jacksboro; special
teacher, Mary Johnson of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and a host of
other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday
September 18, 2002 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev.
Billy Smith and Dr. Charles Parker officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m.
Thursday September 19 at Jacksboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends
from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday before funeral services. Martin Wilson Funeral Home
of LaFollette in charge of arrangements.

LOWE, MARTHA - age 93, of Jacksboro, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2002,
at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was born March 26,
1909. Member of the Pioneer Missionary Baptist Church. Awarded a Gold-Star
Mother in 1968. Survivors include daughters, Pauline Gray of Corbin,
Kentucky, Irene Perkins of Piqua, Ohio, Judy Lawson of Knoxville, and Mary
Lou Payne of Jacksboro; son, Clarence Lowe of Jacksboro; step son, Henry Lowe
of LaFollette; 13 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren, and 12 great-great
grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Campbell
County Cancer Association, 124 Woodvine Street, Jacksboro, TN 37757. The
family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, at Cross
Funeral Home. The funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. conducted by Rev.
Jim Wilcox and Clarence Lowe. Interment will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday at
Campbell Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home.

ROBINSON, DVORKA ANN KUPERSTOCK - age 74, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday,
September 14, 2002, at the Methodist Medical Center. Member of St. Stephens
Episcopal Church. Survived by husband, Theodore West Robinson; two sons,
Lewis Carmen Robinson and Lawrence Theodore Robinson, both of Oak Ridge;
three daughters, Jo Ann Rumple of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Rev. Mary Beth Cloyd of
Chunchula, Ala., and Margaret Glasgow West of Alexandria, Va.; brother, Brant
Kuperstock and wife Nancy England of Oak Ridge; sister, Tveya Baker and
husband, Jay of Selma, Ala.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2002, at 11:00
a.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church with Dr. Craig M. Kallio officiating
and Rev. Claire Keene assisting. The family will receive friends at the
church in the Parrish Hall following the Memorial Service. The family asks
that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the American Heart
Association. Weatherford Mortuary in charge of the arrangements.

SHARP, RUSSELL THOMAS - age 31, of Jacksboro, died Sunday morning, September
15, 2002, at U. T. Hospital, Knoxville. He was a member of First Baptist
Church Jacksboro. Preceded in death by father, Tom Sharp. He is survived by
his mother, Betty Sue Sharp and sister, Debbie Lynn Sharp, both of Jacksboro,
and several other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services 8 p.m.
Tuesday, September 17, at First Baptist Church Jacksboro, Rev. Billy Smith
officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell
Memorial Gardens for the interment. The family will receive friends 6 til 8
p.m. Tuesday, prior to the funeral service. Arrangements by Cross Funeral
Home.

WALLACE, THELMA - age 84 of Clinton, Tenn., passed away Sunday September 15,
2002 at Fort Sanders Park West Medical Center in Knoxville. She was of the
Baptist faith. Thelma enjoyed working in her flower garden and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel L. Wallace; her parents,
Will & Stella Bullock; sisters, Geraldine Bullock & Ella Spears; brothers,
Jess Bullock & Clarence Bullock. Survivors: host of nieces & nephews. The
family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 18, 2002 from 12-2 p.m.
at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with the funeral service
following at 2 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Joe Bridges officiating.
interment will follow a the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton.
