Paul Dylene McCaskill, 61, of Detroit, Mich.,
Barbara Pyatt Mosal, 49, a resident of Jackson, Miss.,

PAUL DYLENE MCCASKILL, 61, of Detroit, Mich., died after a heart attack on
Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, in Detroit.
He was a former resident of Oak Ridge and a 1960 graduate of Oak Ridge High
School. He was the son of Sallie McCaskill and Mims McCaskill, who are
deceased.
Mr. McCaskill was retired from the Ford Motor Co. of Detroit.
He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching football games, and
spending time with his grandson and other family members.
Mr. McCaskill is survived by his wife, Linda McCaskill; his daughters,
Barbara Farley of Detroit and Yvette Davis of Knoxville; his sisters, Yvonne
Mims, Emma McCaskill and Gladys Ward, all of Oak Ridge; his brothers, retired
Lt. Col. Thomas Griffin and his wife, Colleen, and Ronnie Griffin; and his
grandson, Pierre Farley.
He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, John and Rosie Pearl Ghosten of
Oak Ridge, Johnnie and Rena Ward of Philadelphia, Pa., Walter and Maxine Ward
of Detroit and Lillian Woods of Chicago, Ill.; his nephews, Clarence
McCaskill, Gerard Griffin, and Stanton Stevens and his wife, Vanita; his
nieces, Diana Dowdell and her husband, Larry, Bonnie McCaskill, Steffany
Stevens, Cheryl Taylor and her husband, Mossy, Melanie Griffin and Heather
Griffin; and by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Close friends Mr. McCaskill grew up with are Frank Kirk, Jimmy Lewis, E.
Copeland and Edward Holmes. He was especially close to his cousin, Alberta
Hawthorne of Richmond, Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers,
Clarence Mack McCaskill and John Wayne Griffin.
The funeral will be held in Detroit.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to the
Sallie McCaskill Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Diantha Paré, 117 Wendover
Circle, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.

BARBARA PYATT MOSAL, 49, a resident of Jackson, Miss., and a native of
Clinton, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center
in Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. David A. Mosal; three children, David A.
Mosal II, Seth H. Mosal and Summer T. Mosal, all of Jackson; two sisters,
Betty Lynn Pyatt Greer and her husband, Dr. Glenn Greer, of Oak Ridge, and
Sharon Pyatt Pelizzari and her husband, Barry Pelizzari, of Clinton; and
several other relatives including two local nieces, Steffanie Anderson and
Stacey Turner, and two local nephews, Brandon Pelizzari and Bret Pelizzari.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Christ United
Methodist Church in Jackson.
Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, Miss.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 tonight, Sept. 4, at Wright &
Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland, and again from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at
the church.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to the
Building Fund at Christ United Methodist Church, 5301 Old Canton Road,
Jackson, MS 39211.
