GOINS, MINNIE E. - age 88 of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Clinton,
WARD, CLAUDE ADRIN, SR. - age 75, of Fountain City,

COX, LAWRENCE HENDERSON - age 78 of Knoxville, passed away unexpectedly at
his home on Sunday, August 25, 2002. He was a member of Tower Heights Baptist
Church. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Bernice (Hunley) Cox;
sister, Geneva (Cox) Cooper of Lafollette, Tenn; brother, Odeva Cox, Clinton,
Tenn; and brother, Arvil Cox, Detroit, Mich. Survived by his loving wife,
Mary Lou (Williams) Cox; son and daughter-in-law, Teddy and Cheryl Cox of
Centerville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Sharon Cox of
Knoxville; daughter, Sharon Cox of Dearborn, Mich; son and daughter-in-law,
Larry and Becky Cox of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Gloria and Tommy
Barham of Mesquite, Tex.; stepson and wife, Steve and Judy Williams of
Jacksboro, Tenn; stepson, Tommy Williams of Florida; several grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold
and Christine Cox of Knoxville and Arnold and Shelia Cox of Jacksboro, Tenn;
sister, Della Mae (Cox) Ward of Windsor, Canada. Funeral service 8:00 p.m.
Thursday in Stevens Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends 6 - 8
p.m. Thursday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at Broadway.
GOINS, MINNIE E. - age 88 of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Clinton, passed away
Monday, August 26, 2002 at the home of her daughter, She had worked for 17
years at the Magnet Hosiery Mills in Clinton. She then went to work at City
Cafe in Clinton and later she and her husband purchased and ran the South
haven Restaurant & Motel in South Clinton. She was in the restaurant business
for over 20 years. Preceded in death by husband, John Goins; parents, Mack &
Cynthia Johnson York and several brothers & sisters. Minnie was born June 30,
1914 in Clinton. Survivors: daughter, Dwan Wallace & husband, Mark of
Lexington, Ky.; nephews, Leroy York & Billy Goodykoontz of Clinton; a host of
friends. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday August 28, 2002
at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be held 11
a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with Jeffrey Powers
officiating. Interment will follow the service at Farmers Grove Cemetery.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements.
